Seychelles Set To Become The Most Expensive Place on Earth

In the cross sectorial meetings with Five (5) ministers, Seychelles Chamber of Commerce (SCCI), Seychelles Hospitality Association (SHA), numerous Tourism leaders met in a crisis management situation to brief the PL government of the gravity and seriousness of the downturn in Seychelles, due to lack of direct flights, and the high cost of living.

Reduce The High Cost of Living

Paramount in the discussion was the need to reduce the cost of living in Seychelles which affect Tourists and Seychellois alike.

Seychellois spend more money each month to get less. They are caged, by PL, like an animal would be, locked in a a destructive system that sucks their life out of their body slowly, but surely. Each, VAT of 15% is ticked in addition to the purchase price, to anything, and every single Seychellois is in effect 15% more poor each year. In Praslin and La Digue, where VAT is double charged in cargo, inter island ferry service for goods transport, trucking services, these residents are 25%-30% more poor each year. For Tourists, these two islands become 25% more expensive then Mahe.

Stop The Life of The Rich and Famous

The private sector has called on the PL to take serious steps to reduce the cost of living. To initiate this, I wrote a letter in January 2014, to the SCCI and called ont their Councilors to resolve to make this a priority in 2014. So far, PL is sleeping on the job, afraid to lose revenue which it needs to pay for the luxury life of their ministers, and over spending. They need to pay for James Michel Formula One escapades in Abu Dhabi, Jean Paul Adam’s Diamond Class escapades to New York and all the shopping to buy those nice things just cannot find in failing Seychelles, under PL. The American Express cards are ringing up the balances which the people of Seychelles will have to pay.

Price of Fuel Collapses

In Thirty –days (30) the price of crude oil dropped from $106.00 per barrel on the international markets to $84.00 per barrel. At that point I wrote to Danny Faure who has become known as the only person working in PL at this point, and advise him of the matter and the need to make adjustments as the rest of the World. No reply.

Thirty- Days (30) later, the price dropped to an all time low of $74.00 per barrel and the price of fuel in Seychelles was rising. I wrote another letter, and a replied followed thank ing me for the input.

What we need is not thanks but leadership and action to have SEPEC come up with a full disclosure of its fuel stock, price, and subsequent intention to buy fuel, and the price it will pay on the next purchase. Consumers, Business , Tourist all want to know that fuel prices in Seychelles will drop as international bench mark prices drop. However, SEPEC, led by evasive and slippery ( some say greasy) Conrad Benoiton has given all indications that he has no intention on dropping the price of fuel in Seychelles. This will mean that a massive amount of money $25 Million to $30 Million will become a SEPEC windfall if consumption patterns in 2015 remain consistent with 2014.

SEPEC Steal Seychelles Chance To Recovery

What does this mean for all of Seychelles? It means that if SEPEC does not drop the price of fuel in Seychelles to correspond to international trends, wherein fuel is at 1980 prices, SEPEC will steal Seychelles opportunity for a recovery in 2015.

While other countries and competitors drop prices for airfare, excursions, game fishing, taxis, in Seychelles, our prices will go up, through the roof, and instead of making Seychelles more affordable, the PL will have made Seychelles more expensive in 2015 than in 2014, hence locking Seychelles into a noncompetitive bracket and implosion of the Tourism Industry, which employs near 40,000 people, will be under way.

This is what PL is brewing for us as they configure perhaps one of the worse Budgets ever…..out of touch, out of mind set to make Seychelles, the most expensive place on earth!

I Missed Rene’s Birthday, Hic, Hic, Hic!

Did everyone miss Rene’s birthday? Or was I the only one? We all had to play catch up with the latest picture of an old wicked man imposing his presence at the State House, Victoria, Mahe, Seychelles.

Time Is Now Your Greatest Enemy

Each time I see Rene’s face, with the twitching skin, turning red, from too much rubbing from too much laser, and too many facials, to attempt to cover up the age, the grief, the horrible life he lived, the horrible person he has been to many, many Seychellois…. I just get sick, just because I know him well, very well.

A Simple People Crushed Over Night

Rene lived and thrived by imposing his will on a naïve generation. We came out of the era of Colonialism and war, we were a Nation of fishermen and farmers.

A few of our forefathers went by ship to the First World War, and then the Second World War. Amongst them were even a few brave fighter pilots who served the British Royal Air Force gallantly.

But for the most part, Seychellois were never a violent people, and we were never exposed to guns, grenades, artillery guns, anti personnel guns. It was Rene that introduced us to guns and the violence of guns.

June 5^th Onwards- No Pardon!

It was Rene who brought all these things to us with first his Coup on June 5^th, 1977, against a coalition government he formed part of as Prime Minister. We all know the history, today with Mancham endorsing Michel eternally, it may not all matter to Mancham, but it does matter to many of us. The capitulation of James Mancham, does not change the Right or the Wrong of Rene and Michel’s deeds.

The murderers of society can never be pardoned by its politicians.

After the coup, it was Rene who reinforced his will to take the country by force, that allowed to be murdered… his own fellow Seychellois.

To impose his will on a simple people, it was Rene who conspired, plotted that Tanzanian troops to land in Seychelles by the hundreds then by the thousands, to impose the will of Rene upon the People of Seychelles.

Young Seychellois will not understand this era. But they must try. Rene brought in African Tanzanians to Seychelles to suppress the will of the resistance against him. This means, he brought foreigners to our shores to kill us, because we did not agree with his leadership.

Later, Rene brought in North Korean troops to suppress the will of the resistance against him. Many North Koreans left children in Seychelles. Right Mr. J. Francois?

Similarly, today, James Michel brings in Gurhkas, paid by Khalifa, over 150 of them to lord over Seychellois. Irish, South African mercenaries are also on the payroll. Nothing has changed, just the nationalities.

The SPPF and now the PL, find no issue with arming foreigners on our shores to lord over the People of Seychelles. They have done this for 35 years and this is the way they keep power. Simple.

The People of Seychelles must learn to exercise Civil Disobedience, against these occupying forces in Seychelles and against the PL regime, if it is to become free again. 

We must spread the news of our reality around the World, until James Michel (today) understands,we will not accept foreign forces in Seychelles as dead sheep in a slaughter house accepting the intentions of a butcher.

This will end the Rene legacy of using foreign troops to lord over Seychellois once and for all.

Rene Will Go On Trial

Albert Rene will soon die. His birthday photos tell us that. It is now no secret. Only fake profiles tell us otherwise. Coincidentally, they are the profiles of the children of the murderers and thugs Rene used in his time. Do not be afraid of them, they are more afraid of you who stand on principles of human decency.

Many are unhappy that Rene will not face justice. Do not despair. Do not worry about Rene. History is already judging Rene and the verdict is not in his favor.

He is departing us as a criminal, a man who killed his own people, to impose his will on us, and to Lord over us like the grandest of all plantation owners the Indian Ocean has ever seen.

His empire today is crumbling, his legacy is fixated on the status of the “Butcher of Seychelles”. He earned the title, and he deserves it. History shall not be merciful on his legacy.

As for God……God does what God does or does not do, I doubt very much Rene would even consider to “knock on Heavens door”.

Seychelles is suffering from internal implosion as a society.
The People of Seychelles, the intended benefactors of progress, investment, and rights are the most disenfranchised people in Seychelles today.

In the Police Force, Gurhkas number over 150 armed men kept in place to suppress resistance.
Irish run key Police apparatus, displacing qualified Seychellois.

In Education, foreign teachers are paid much higher then Seychellois teachers, the public school IGSE single pass rate for one course is a miserable 32 percent. Total failure under PL the reinvention of SPPF, but still very much the same thug operation.

Fisheries resources have gone mostly to corruption and foreign companies. After over 30 years of SPPF cum PL we have no fishing fleet.

Agriculture has collapsed under SPPF. We import chicken from Brazil and pork from Argentina. This is Agriculture under PL. default rates at DBS for agricultural loans are 85 percent.

Offshore Sector has imploded. It is dead. Seychelles has been at the center of money laundering of over 20 Billion USD. Casinos play a key role with zero percent tax on their deposits. All a person has to do is bank into a casino account, the financial controller sends their money anywhere I the World. The money is washed. From drug cartels. To government officials in every jurisdiction, arms traffickers. Can avail of this service in Seychelles today. The United States of America under weak Obama has turned a blind eye to this practice up to now, in favor of caressing the Marxist government of James Alex Michel, for free port access for shore leave of the USA Naval Flotilla based I the Indian Ocean.
