Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture has said that the country has lost a great local hotelier as he wrote to the Payet Family on the passing of Mr Frank Robert Payet. It was his wife Elodia who started a small guest House known as Rose Cottage at Pointe au Sel on Mahe which she ran together with her husband Frank for 10 years before deciding to move to Praslin and started Le Duc de Praslin at Cote D'Or. Today this dream by Mr & Mrs Frank Payet is reputed to rank amongst the best Tourism establishment in Seychelles.Frank was known to be a hardworking Man. A man who was meticulous in whatever he did. He kept every piece of paper and wrote down everything you can think of. He was born 07th June 1931 and is the son of Mark Payet and Edna Payet Nee Obrien. He was born on Mahe and grew up at Pointe au Sel. Frank went to school at Seychelles College but left for Kenya at the early age of 17.He always said that he did this because he wanted to go and get a saving to come back and work in Seychelles. He worked in the Police Force, hence his discipline and principle as a gentlemanHe met his wife Elodia in Seychelles and they went back to Kenya in 1966 to get married. They decided to come back to Seychelles in 1969 and Frank worked for P.W.U.D at that time for a couple of years. He then started his small farming business where he supplied a good quality chicken and eggs on the island as well as other livestock. Is was as a pastime for his wife he started to rent rooms in their small guest House that became known as Rose Cottage at Pointe au Sel which they ran for 10 years before launching their Praslin small hotel the 'Le Duc de Praslin'. Frank was a kind person always willing to help others and played an active part in the Small Hotels and Guesthouse Association.Frank leaves behind his wife Elodia, son Robert and daughter in law Lisa and grandchildren Russell and Reece.
A community of decent freedom loving Seychellois, determined to see Seychelles FREE from the clutches of failure, corruption, and lack of respect of Democracy and fundamental human rights. A spin off of the anti Communist league who believe in Sesel Pou Seselwa.

SBC Pilon Propoganda Again!
The SBC are at it again! In an effort to distort facts, reality, and messages that need to get out to the Public, they distort the truth, much like a homosexual would go about acting out being straight and hiding its sexuality. SBC....the message to you is this: " It is time to come out of the closet! The rainbow in the logo is exposed!
The Incident
SCCI Praslin Committee ask Minister St. Ange to come to Praslin to address the business community of Praslin who will suffer from cancel bookings over a rape case of a German revisit or on the beach .
The business community met at the sight, and the Minister attended. Minister Bastienne for Internal Affairs did not turn up, nor did he send a second to stand in his place. Yet he is the key Minister needed to address the crime surge issue in Seychelles, and Praslin in particular.
On the beach a 12 business owners of small hotels were in attendance. Two turned up with umbrellas from the rain. They were red.SBC filmed this and made it a main event. The talk given by myself was spliced to take my speech which was an appeal to government that they need to work in cooperation with the business community to resolve the crime issue. SBC being the Pilon organization they are, tried t take this appeal and turn it into a political endorsement because two red umbrellas in the crowd.
This is false. The appeal of the private sector is to put politics aside, and focus on doing what is right for Praslin.
Praslin is going through a unprecedented downturn, because the government has neglected her, and in some instances, shackle her. We need the government to unshackled Praslin.
Praslin needs her fair share of taxes collected put back into Praslin. Roads are breaking, infrastructure is poor.
We need the issue of crime on Praslin to be given more attention that is thoughtful and serious. PL government must wake up to realize that dealing with crime like the English did 40 years ago will not work today in Seychelles.
The Beach Was A Disgrace
To make matters worse, SBC deliberately filmed the top half of those in attendance. Avoiding filming the filthy beach that is a disgrace to Seychelles. SBC......the Minister of Environment needs to know the beaches on Praslin are filthy and a disgrace.
The Public needs to know the government is not doing enough to keep the beaches clean. Once that information is out, government can present a serious plan which we will hold them accountable to perform.
SBC needs to get serious and stop being the faggots they have been with Seychellois lives.
SBC needs to get serious and stop being the faggots they have been with Seychellois lives.
We thank Minister St. Ange for his support, and we thank STB for their support.
We look forward to seeing the other Ministers engaged to cleanup Praslin: Minister Bastienne and Minister Dogley.
As for SBC, you know what they say......if you are born a Pilon, you are likely
going to stay that way even if the Constitution of Seychelles says you are not one, but rather....you are Independent!

Loan Program Before Election!
This week Three Term President James Michel went on SBC to announce a small business loan program. This loan program has been available for some time. But the focus has been on starting breadfruit chip business in the back kitchens. As elections lurk upon the fate of James MIchel, he is pulling the biggest card he has to offset five years of cursing and insults from the grassroots: money.
Super Yachts and Villa Business For Foriegners...Breadfruit Chips For Seychellois!
The business climate in Seychelles has become extremely polarized under James Michel. The rich foreigners get tax free status to import their super yachts which sit at Eden Island waiting for their owners. The average Seychellois is ask to form a breadfruit chips production line, tailor business, or even carve monkeys from coconuts. Equipment needed of course, which is imported, is taxed, so money borrowed, is paid back to James Michel government.
The system hangs you at birth.
Small Entrepreneurs Face PL Supported Monopolies
The most daunting challenge in business for Seychellois is facing the staunch reality that Seychelles main industry Tourism is controlled by monopolistic interests supported fully by the PL and protected by the PL. These interests like the main DMC ' s in the country operate in an exclusive manner making Seychellois small business impossible to succeed and penetrate the markets. Hence small business loans are not an opportunity, but are rather, a chain around your neck. The only thing missing is a concrete base for a good dive.
Loans Without Knowledge
Small businesses that attempt to upstart, need to know the basics of business. The government does not offer any program to train prior to loan disbursement.
Loans Need Mortgages Or Guarantors
These loans require mortgages or Guarantors to be approved. They must be secured. PL who is going to guarantor a loan in this failing economic environment? Who? What is the name of a young entrepreneur who has land that can be mortgaged? What world does PL live in I ask?
Application Form Looks Desperate
The application form looks desperate. One thing is certain, we are not about to discover oil this election.

Seychelles Faces Crime Surge!
The Drugs
Two weeks ago NDEA made a SCR 122 Million Heroin bust. Three small time handlers arrested. The main Escobars are yet to face a judge. What is the cause of the delay? Why is NDEA so evasive on the subject in the day and age of digital information? We have given NDEA enough time to produce the Escobars financing this SCR 122 Million payload. 122 Million is not money for Takamaka Rum or Green Apple!
Breaking and entering is on an all time rise. No question about it. What is Ministry of Internal Affairs under Minister Bastienne going to do differently from Mr. Joel Morgan? So far, we have not heard a peep. Minister Bastienne has yet to address these cronic serious issues that preoccupy each resident in Seychelles, today.
Released convicts are not subjected to 30 day reviews when freed. It would be helpful that when released these convicts need to have a trade or vocation. They need to be assigned to work places. They need to get real jobs, report to a Probation Officer, that monitors their progress and adjustment back into society. Thus far, what have we been witnessing? The revolving prison system. Convicts are prosecuted, do a little time, come out, spend a little time free, meet up quickly with the wrong people, get tempted to go back to their old ways, and then, back on the chain gang, back in jail, to do more time. This does not work for society, it does not work for the accused, victims, or families. PL needs to stop the deliberate revolving door policy that keeps unstable people in and out of jail. They need to be saved from themselves. Society has a interest in saving them: lower crime, will mean a better bottom line for the Seychelles economy, since we rely on Tourism as our main bread earner. Low crime means higher net worth Tourists to our shores, hence a better nett Yield.
Get Tough On Crime
The Seychelles judiciary needs to get tough on crime.
They need to get tougher on crimes against Seychellois and Tourist alike. Simple. For too long, the Judiciary has been too soft on crimes. It simply has to end or judges salaries cut for under performance.
The Judiciary does not need to be to told what to do or what it must do.
The Executive Branch simply needs to set mathematical targets for the Judiciary to meet to be eligible for finance each fiscal year. If they meet targets, they get their Budget. If they do not meet the targets, their budget should be cut accordingly.
