Soldiers Of Truth...is a must read poem...written by one of my contestant at AllPoetry page...written for the Seychelles Heroes...
The deaf strength of blood
When crimson comes to show.
The black burnt bright
By lantern of a living star,
And the hush of curtain call
On martyr's last breath.
More, is the want
For consumers of death, life, greed, and lust.
Long after the feast has sufficed
The hunger continues.
More, is the want. Corruption.
My lips quiver easy with the breeze,
Letting my beliefs be known,
And my shell be vulnerable to the cracking
That the torturers may induce.
By the boulder, one dies
By the stone, he is laid,
And the weeping above
Does grow the grass green.
Heaven has become the spit of hell
Molten fury liquefying pearls,
And the paradise we once knew
Has become our strongest memory.
Once more...
My tears became drank, not once but twice
For the thirst of my cheeks
And the pain did dry
With the remembrance of bravery
And the smiles of those who have gone before me.
The simpletons follow
The footprints of those in power,
Learning, that more is the want,
And fattening the palates of the wealthy.
All that is left to do
Is to beckon the spirits of sleeping soldiers
Who still dream of justice
Even in death.
A community of decent freedom loving Seychellois, determined to see Seychelles FREE from the clutches of failure, corruption, and lack of respect of Democracy and fundamental human rights. A spin off of the anti Communist league who believe in Sesel Pou Seselwa.

Air Seychelles Nano Papa Fired!
In a clandestine, without warning move, Minister of Transportation and Chairman of Air Seychelles, Mr. Joel Morgan fired Nano Papa in a joint press conference calling the move a strategic move.
The abrupt termination came immediately after Nano Papa was present to receive the Global Luxury Travel awards for " Best Airline in Indian Ocean" , " Best Business Class" and so on.
At the awards ceremony, Nano Papa overly consumed with himself as usual, and self absorbed at the Award ceremony, grabbed all the awards for a photo shot with the press, leaving Minister Joel Morgan in an embarrassing predicament of having to grab the awards himself, and hence causing a literal tug of war over the moment.
It is noticeable that Air Seychellles did not receive an award for " Best Domestic Carrier" since Air Seychelles, in spite of having new planes in the fleet has horrendous front desk service on Mahe, and the ticket pricing is a rip off offering MAFIA and usury ticket pricing to Praslin.
For over one year, Nano Papa had promised to resolve this issue that plagues Praslin economy, resulting in lower traffic load to the most beautiful island in the World.
Nano Papa once told me " if you want to make Seychellois happy, throw a booze party, don't reduce the air fares". Well Papa, after belittling us for the magic 18 months term, you failed to keep your word to the people of Praslin. In spite of your geeky indiocincrasy disposition, you too will now be walking to the best of the bottle.......I saw it all over your face when Morgan sacked you. You looked like a sky meals truck ran over your pathetic frame of a man, who did not have the decency to keep his word to a hard working community.

Michel Sees Election Prospects On Praslin Bleek!
This weekend, the National Day Committee unveiled a fair that took the Government of Seychelles near one year to put together on Praslin. The title was : "An Island On The Move". Praslin Secondary School may be on the move in the National Athletes Competition, that is about it.
Economy Faces Implosion
The economy is deteriorating fast, after years of neglect and lack of real time attention. Life is getting tough on Praslin. Drug addicts makes their way to Baie St. Anne each day, to sell mangoes, raise funds for another fix.
Social Malaise On Rise
Prostitution has hit the streets of what was once the iconic tourist destination for the well heeled.
Housekeepers in hotels are being caught sleeping on the job. When told not to sleep, they quit on the spot. You see them at night going into the neighborhood drug den for a fix.
NDEA is seen eating take away boxes daily. They occasionally arrest a Tourist, harass them, but dealing with the drug problem on Praslin, the regular Police tell us NDEA picks who gets arrested, that is why some drug dens, stay open 24 hours a day. The State has lost control of even it's strong arm.
Tourism Being Crucified Alive
Now hotels struggle to stay afloat and commercial banks are coming in for a feeding frenzy. Occupancy is dismal, connecting flights on Air Seychelles are more expensive then international outbound flight. Ferry prices are monopoly fixed not regulated.
MNA Takes To Bottle or Jesus
While all this unfolds, the MNA for Grand Anse is seen wandering about with a whiskey bottle in hand, chatting it up as best as he can.
The Baie St. Anne MNA has become a born again christian after abandoning her vocation as a nurse to jump into the dirty world of politics of silence and pensions.
It's been Five years since we saw them. Now they are back. I imagine, most of Seychelles is that way.
Michel Sadden By Praslin Turning Her Back
Word is out, Michel is deeply sadden with the cold reception he got on Praslin in spite of his 35 strong body guard unit.
As the Republic President tried to walk about the national fancy fair, people turned walked away from his focus. Those that did not move fast enough out of the way was pushed away by the muscle of his body guard. Imagine....pushing a woman, to make way for a Head of State in a fancy fair? Excuse me, or pardon me does not work anymore?
Praslin has grown use to neglect. It has also gone use to the cold shoulder and the occasional rough housing.
When Praslin goes silent, it does not mean everything is fine in the Vallai De Mai it means PL is trying to register " Mario" the Black Parrot with a broken wing to vote!

Air Seychelles Rips Off Travelers!
As the Southeast monsoon blows over Seychelles, Air Seychelles led by Nano Papa has taken ripping off travelers to new heights. To cover their fiasco, and perhaps bribe a few into silence, they are offering to some organizations cheap tickets. Only yesterday, they offered for one month, Mahe- Praslin tickets for Scr. 383.00 one way residents only. But that is one side of the coin only.
Round Trip Praslin- Mahe Scr. 18,400.00
A family of Four, traveling from Praslin to Mahe or Mahe to Praslin in July 2015, will be ask by Air Seychelles to pay SCR. 2,300.00 per person, per way. This works out to SCR. 18,400.00 ($ 1362.00) making Praslin the most expensive, inaccessible destination in the World. With Air Seychelles, we are ........in another World.
Air Seychelles Has No Heart For Even A Dog
If a dog is traveling to Praslin from Mahe, he has no chance to get even a dogs excursion.
Air Seychelles year on year, has proven itself heartless, merciless, with travelers going to Praslin or vice versa. The Chairman, Minister Joel Morgan has remained silent, indifferent to the rip off pricing scheme in place, giving way to Nano Papa's policy of high rates, that in turn destroy the Praslin economy, irate Tourists, and make Seychellois feel that they would be better off being dogs, them to try to connect on an inter island flight.
The Broken Promise To reduce Fares and Streamline
Nano Papa has promised to reduce fares when I address this issue in the Cross Sector meeting.
This has been supported by Minister of Tourism - St. Ange. Minister Joel Morgan, stayed silent. If Minister Morgan stays silent any longer, he must go. If silence is the Modus Operandi of Minister Morgan, he must be retired from Air Seychelles, and Ministry of Transportation. No longer will the business community and ordinary Seychellois remain silent as Minister Morgan remains silent.
The promise reduction in fares has been made over one year now.
Cheap Tickets For SHTA
Nano Papa does give out cheap tickets - selectively to those who remain silent. Recently the SHTA members were offered tickets under SCR. 2600.00 round trip to Paris on the inaugural flight July 1, 2015, Economy Class. Return travel must be within 30 days.
This offer confirms that it is cheaper per mile, to take a flight to Paris on Air Seychelles then it cost to fly from Mahe to Praslin. Paris is Eight hours. Praslin is 15 minutes.
While Nano Papa tries to figure out his way around Paris, he should take note, finding his way around Praslin will not be much easier.
Keep your word Papa, before we start calling you a dog!
We are holding our breathe.

Monopoly Practice On Praslin Exposed
Last week the Seychelles Chamber of Commerce - Praslin Sub committee chaired by Christopher Gill, met in an extraordinary meeting with the Minister of Investment, Mr. Michael Benstrong. Accompanying Mr. Benstrong was Dr. Steve Fanny, a doctorate in Finance.
Elephant In The House
The meeting was called to discuss what exactly is causing tax revenues in Praslin to drop at an all time low, deposits in commercial banks are drying up. Businesses phones are being cut by Cable and Wireless. Taxis are being seized by banks. Most hotels on Praslin are up for sale. Worse yet, population growth on Praslin for 15 years is ZERO percent. This means, those born are not sufficient to replace those that die and are buried. Employment posts held by Seychellois
are being replaced by foreign GOP workers to keep the islands main industry, hotelier, functional.
The elephant in the room of course, was the Monopoly practice in play on Praslin, which has been left unfettered by the government of the day for years on years now.
The hippo in the room is the " Praslin Land Use Plan" pushed by Christian Lionnet, Minister for Lands, which restricts development at 50 meters, and he has on his own volition, allowed private lands, to become zoned " Reserves " without providing any Notice to land owners, and without paying any compensation at Fair Market Value as guaranteed under the Seychelles Constitution.
These two issues, have strangle the Praslin business community to a point of no return.
Charters In Crisis
There are 126 license charter operators in Praslin, more then La Digue and Mahe combined. These operators grew to become successful players in Tourism fundamentally, because Rene allowed them to operate free of competition from large operators. Côte D'Or and Grand Anse are base for many of these operators who play their trade with excursions to nearby islands, or fishing trips.
Recently, DMC have landed catamarans that pack in 100 people at a time per trip. Some times when cruise ships are in, DMC will cartel and run multiple trips per day, leaving charter operators, without any business. The situation has reached crisis level. James Michel has stayed silent for 10 years.
Ferry War Is On
The ferry companies are fighting tooth and mail on the Praslin la Digue route for market share. Cat cocos enjoys near 1000 seat capacity on Mahe - Praslin route without competition. This permits the operator to ignore market forces in determining ticket pricing. The only other option is to take a Twin Otter hopper, to Praslin, but Minister Joel Morgan keeps rates high at Air Seychelles. A rate to Praslin can cost as much as a ticket to Tanzania.
Expensive access to Praslin has taken its toll on its business community. Hotels are up for sale. owners are throwing in the towel. It is not feasible to run a business, on an island, that is too expensive to access.
In the old days, Rene would call Air Seychelles, and ask them to drop the price on a ticket. He would have a talk with Joe and tell him: " Joe let the little guy run the bike rentals".
This is Seychelles incorporated under Mr. Michel: he has incorporated us into a new form of slavery!

A Disgraceful June 5th!
This June 5 th, the Seychellois Public cast fear aside and stood up to this PL evil regime in spirit.
No longer was writing an article or poem on June 5 th leaving a Seychellois wondering if they would arrested and detained on June 6 th. The era of " Fear" is over. What lingers are a few incompetent people who cannot make it in the real world, hanging on to the trimmings of a weakening PL regime.
Zom Lib In The Garden
Zom Lib is now in the PL garden at Maison du Peuple, like a relic of the past, inconveniently placed. Last year he was removed from town, moved to the IDC warehouse and tossed into a pile of chicken feed and pig grower for 45 days. Then he turned up in the PL garden. It is perhaps the worse thing PL could have done to its legacy. Just when PL was being perceived as a party moving from communism and dictatorship, PL showed how out of touch they are with the general public and placed Zomn Lib in the garden of Maison Du Peuple.
No One Visits Zomn LIb
All year long, no one visits Zomn Lib. He has been reduced to the infamous symbol or murder, detention, cronyism, Communism over the Seychelles pyche. Zomn Lib remains a dividing symbol and on June 5 th PL call for Unity in desperation, and without action.
PL Divides Into Two Parties
This year, PL divided into Two parties. They even took a decision to nominate James Michel, as a presidential candidate. Michel is now perceived to be seriously out of touch with Seychelles realities today. He has gone aloof , abstract, after focusing too much energy on his image and photos, where. To place them, in Nation, SBC, or Victoria times, People. He reads little analyzes very little. Danny Faure is tasked with being the glue of day to day activities. If Faure ran on his own, he would have a better chance at winning then running with James Michel, whose popularity is at an all time low. I mean low.
June 5 th Means Monopoly Today!
Today, June 5 th has become a Liberation for the few super rich cronies of James Michel. They control the construction Industry, build own hotels, control transportation, and are fully vertically and horizontally integrated. The economy bumps along at 2 percent the best we have achieved in 30 years. The cost of living is up inflation at 4.5 percent, increasing, unemployment at 4 percent, FDI at an all time low again. The economy is suffocating from monopolistic practice, brought into play because June 5 th.
No Pardon
Another year, another display of arrogance, the families of victims murdered on this day and onward still have to received a pardon from you.
PL don't you think it is time for you to grow up, before you break into another two parties?

5th of June 1977
5th June 1977 a handful of our brother seselwa , decide to grab and control and disperse at their expense, they though they have just grab a cake from a child, without realizing this child has mother, father, sisters, brothers, uncle, cousins, aunts and friends who would reap the reaction too, and who would know blood would shed, unless it was planned...
piece of cake Rene says to Rolly, as he reply back smiling don't forget when I retire I want my own car hire, I will call it RAM.
If they knew there would be death would they have still done it... cause death is still happening maybe not trough guns but other means and form.

Remembering 5th June
The 5th of June is remembered sadly every year by the people of Seychelles and especially by the relatives of those who were killed on that day. It is also a day when the people of Seychelles remember and are left to wonder how this small country with its friendly, peaceful and innocent people was robbed of their idyllic way of life. In 1977 the country had just been granted its independence and before it had the opportunity to start enjoying their status as a burgeoning democratic state, a group of unscrupulous men decided that they knew what was best for their compatriots. They alone would rule the Seychellois people, their way. Their dictatorship turned out to be the Seychelles’ worst nightmare.
With a ruthless, vindictive and power hungry leader these men took it upon themselves to bully, terrorise, steal and murder their own countrymen. Their justification for imposing their one party state dictatorship was that democracy was divisive and in essence that the people of Seychelles were too illiterate to make their own informed choices within a democratic system. Those who opposed them were dealt with in the most ruthless manner, which often meant paying the ultimate price. Unfortunately, one of those that were killed on 5th June 1977 was Mr. Son Chang Him.
Mr. Chang-Him was my neighbour many years ago when I was a child living in the sleepy village of Bel Ombré. At that time this small village was a thriving, friendly place where everyone greeted, helped and passed the time away mingling with each other. The house that my parents rented was located next to the Chang- Him family. I remember them as being a very close and loving family with their mother Jocelyn caring and paying constant attention to her family. Flowerbeds and a large branch that we the children would sit and play on separated their house from ours. Even after we moved away, I would often think back on those pleasant days of playing on that branch with the Chang-Him children.
Many years later I was shocked to hear that Mr. Chang-Him had been shot dead. The killing had taken place on 5th June and the year was 1977. I remember thinking of this lovely family and the children I played with and feeling so sad for them and asking the inevitable question of why?
Today 38 years later, where the group that committed these crimes have made themselves a legitimate government governing in their own dubious ways and never answering the question of why was it so necessary that so many Seychellois were killed, made to disappear, victimised and imprisoned. The list of crimes committed against the people is endless. To the shame of it I and many other people are still left wondering what instigated the worst of animalistic instincts in this small but demented group of Seychellois driving them to oppress, torture and murder their own as they did. The 5th of June is without any doubt the most notorious day of infamy in the history of our little archipelago, the beautiful islands of Seychelles.

Pat Pillay Fever Takes Seychelles!
Last month SPPF PL ex- minister and ex- Ambassador with a football team line up of former key supporters to James Michel, announced the formation of break away political party that intends to challenge James Michel and his precarious old song " JJ Spirit" and promised to defeat it conclusively at the polls.
Corruption,Corruption,Corruption
When ask what is the biggest problem facing Seychelles, Pat Pillay dressed in white, sporting a blue bird on his chest said: 1. Corruption, 2. Corruption, 3. Corruption.
This vehement attack and simultaneous exposure of James Michel's comfort zone of pre- imminence placed Michel in a predicament of historical proportions, which Michel seems to have taken lightly as just a bad day.
Five Days To Reply Or Die!
Immediately, a close associate and confident of James Michel called me. He ask me, Mr. Gill, you are a very intelligent, experienced person, what do you make on this move by Pat Pillay?
I replied to James Michel's friend : " tell James Michel he has Five days to reply to Patrick Pillay's allegations or he is politically finished.
The friend of Michel ask why? I said to him: " when a fire lights, it spread fast, if you let it go for Five days, what result do you expect? "
Michel Stays Silent More Then Five Days
Michel did the opposite. He called for " Moment With President", he said he will not discuss this issue, and he will address this on June 2 nd in his Congress. The fire went on.
Pillay Convention
In no time, before PL JJ Spirit could hold a Congress, Pillay held a party Conference with 600 plus people. Impressive, and only more evidence of the fire burning down the PL Jj Spirit house over night.
JJ Spirt on La Digue
On La Digue,Jj opened a youth center. They boated in people at night from Mahe, Praslin to do the opening. Evidence of fracture was everywhere.
SNP Desperate
SNP is desperate for its place to be preserved on the political scene. The pension issue has become the prime issue SNP is focusing on. It's MNA, Sandy Arrisol is desperately handing out flyers in Mont Fleuri. He even gave me two. I took them not to embarrass him.
The sooner Ramkalawan resigns, the sooner SNP can get its show on the road.
In the meantime, it has reduced itself to a side show.
