I Congratulate her for her excellent results and hopefully in a few years from now ,she would be part of the few prominent lawyers in this country......a profession in which it is hard to find excellent lawyers .I feel a sense of proudness when I hear good stories of Seychellois exceling like Lilly ........ Bravo Lilly!

I`m speculating ...but Lilly would have all it takes and needed to be more than a prominent lawyer .....she would be well-armed to being a prominent lawyer or to being a politician and beyond.Thumb up!

Its great to learn and see that despite our small size as a country/nation, Seselwa can excel in the wider world. Just imagine if Seselwa had equal opportunities in their own Sesel, over the past 40 years, just imagine if we did not have the 'brain drain' of the past 40 years, just imagine if we did not have all the corruption, just imagine if our hard working Seselwa men & women were acknowledged as assets to their motherland, just imagine if we did not have to 'zwe role' over the past 40 year, just imagine, just imagine if escolars were not supported and protected by the government of the day, just imagine.........., So Well done Miss Lilly Gill, remain focused, keep up the hard work....hopefully you will return back after your studies to help us play catch up and help build a better Seychelles for the future Seselwa Rasin ! Congratulations.

You choose between 5 royal families or 500,000 penniless migrant from India. This is your choice. Grand Police is sold gone, what benefits did we get from as a prison? 5 star hotels push wages upward for qualified Seychelllois, what government must do is negotiate better deals with these projects, not just accept them carte Blanche. Example staff housing priority should be given to Seychellois to develop. Transportation priority to Seychellois to develop. Ground maintenance contracts - same. Security same. Marina service same. Rest concessions, clothing shop concessions etc...

Seychelles must generate 25% of its Budget from FDI . Right now it has none. This means all this yap, yapping ongoing in the National Assembly will leave us with a Budget short fall by September unless we get this right.

320 rooms while exisiting smaller five star hotels such as lemuria and others cannot fill up their rooms at any time of the year 60 percent .......What for a 320 rooms hotle ....it is for destruction of environment ,,,disfiguration of our coast,,,blockage of our public beaches to their owners Seychellois ,,,financial leakage by the usage of cheap slaved indain expats ,,,it means strees of natural resouces water ,land ,,,,it meansimporting fruits ,vegetable and other purchase from abroad ,it means massive tourism bad for a five star destination.....it means eastage ,etc..etc....... FDI yes but destruction and laiseez faire of both govt and foreigners NO ..they better stay home .......our environment means more to us than Arb five star sieze star hotel ........ futre generation need place and space for their own project not that in 50 years they find out all govt land ,their land have been gifted or sold for peanuts to arabs(TIME TO ASK SEYCHELLOIS TO DECIDE on those deals that do not represent them via a REFERENDUM ...we cannot allow our servants the ministers being bribes to decide on important issues like our caost ,Beaches and land---------It to enforce referendum ) FDI msut in anyway means destruction of our environment the, raping of our ruels of law ,the blockage of our beaches ,the destruction of our coasts ,the importation and invasion of cheap unemployed slave indains ,sri lankns with all the other problems they bring with them and the negatives they create when it come to jobs for locals ,housing ,water supply ,eastage ,eletrcitiy ,,,stess on habitat .........
As to FDI ,,,they should be mad to make business in joint venture with Seychellois ,,,,,Joint ventures are preferred to setting up new ventures as they pose less hassle and local partners have the expertise to tackle the countrys specific business issues.

FDI while there is a strong focus of FDI,not much attention is being paid to changing trend and the quality of capital inflow that could help businesses become sustainable and the domestic economy competitive.
Grand POlcie is sold gone ...sold by an illegal one püarty system that has no legitimacy ...thus not recognize this deal .........moreover ,anything signed nad made by pl does not means it is eternal and cannot be cancelled ..especially when it was done by an illegal and illegitimate gang of thugs call pl.......the Assembly can stop this shit ,,or the people can do it too ......
this mentality which consist of selling out govt land by a govt without asking the properiators (the people Must stop)----the trend is that pl and arabs must understand that we will not let them built over sieze hotels on all single beaches they see .....Seychellois will decide not govt nor Arabs -----and failing to listen to the people forge the risks of instability ....

Anonymous said...

Bushmenship and laissez faire must stop or it would be stopped......No deals done by pl one party system is legitimate ..it is not and none will change that .......
Plate was supposedly rented ,,,,,glenny the son of a bitch told us ...But rent for how much Pl/gelnny ,,how much donekys????????pL TELLS US IT HAS 20 PERCENT OF SHARE ,20 PeRCENT OF WHICH GORSS CAPITAL AMOUNT?Glenny told us transportation netc would be supply by locals ?Who are they these lcoals companies ...?maybe pl affiliated memebers ,companies pl have shares in....pl friends ...pl indain friends ?''Where are the promised jobs ,revenue generation pl told us we would have from thse ammut five star hotles ....?is hundreds of exapts Seychellois jobn creation?is financial leakage more revenues for Seychelles? Is importzation of all their prucahses more yield for our farmers ,fishermen ?Is All inclusive good for lcoa businesses?

If we need FDi then to give them our asset and land forONE RUPEE hundred years whiel Seychellois busineses must pay for all their least land ,,it is a discrimination towards ourpeople and local busienses.....it is unfair trade ,,,,,,,,There should be no more land for hundred years for one rupee ,,and less to foreigners ........they should pay their rent for the leased land ...without condition just like Seychellois do .........In fact ,this deqalade under one party system by a dictatorial system is considered by the people as illegal for pl has no legitimacy from the people thus all deals made by pl one partyystem is frauded........all these deals should be abrogated and replace by lease for cast(rent )and tha immediately just like Seychellois pay .......

It is up to he government to place reasonable conditions by negotiating with the developer. These UAE royals have bailed out the national debt. Without them, we would be fighting Madagascar over potatoes. You should be smart and rational. If 320 rooms is too much, propose a reasonable amount, tie it in with commitments for additional flights, housing project for the southern population, a sewage system, water improvements, better roads. Propose a 21% tax on hotels with over 150 rooms. Hotels under 30 reduce tax to 7 %. This will meaningfully help Seychellois owners. Negotiate better conditions and terms .

Ranting and raving over the development is not responsible given that we voted a lavish lifestyle in the last budget for the Nation and there will be a 25% deficit by mid year September 3 rd quarter. How do we resolve this?

Seychellois want to live well. We want a economic program that addresses this, not a extremist environmental crap gran blank feed us everyday to keep us poor. Mahe is already destroyed. All you can do now is fix it up a little. Try to make it earn revenue for the nation and every one else.

Projects like this pay higher wages and better salaries to Seychellois. The security man at raffles is earning almost 50,000.00. Agnes Mondon at Ephelia is earning over 65,000.00 a month. This is the kind of money we need to earn, instead of telling us to go make fish out of wood paint it to earn a living.

Agree with explanation---Sadly ,unfortunately Pl has failed us badly on these issues........hopeful they will fit things soon...

I disagree with you guys ....there is no reason why a soveiregn country must depends on a single foreign indidivudal to pay back their debts ....this is not normal ......Why do we have this astronomic debts?Well ,our coffer is empty because pl thugs emptied it to fill up their own coffers...so we know where the money went .....the solution is not prostitute, or allow our under age girls be raped by an arab for some pieces of sliver ,but rather get to the source ,namely arrest all these pl thugs ,confiscate their ill-gotten wealth and assets ..Only in one bank account in Switzerland their is 2,4 billion of robbed public money......Multi millions robbed by Guy adam to built a five star hotel at port launay on one rupee ,h8undred year land leased ,ditto to Francis savy ,multi millions robbed by Micgel .rene ...IDc money robbed by glenny ...all added are mutli biliion of dollar .rent of public land lgifted to perosns like owner of Eden Island ,make him pay his dues then we will have enough money to pay our debts ,feed our people and no need to slaved and prostitute to an arab......

2,4 billion in swiss bank ........not em^nough to pay our debt .rather pl accrued debt?If not there are another multi million of SEPEC money invested by Guy adam in a five star hotel ..if not enough u have another multi millions invested in a five star hotel at St Anne,if not enough u have another multi million on Glnney private bank account robbed from IDc ,if not enough there rent ot be paid by Eden ISland and others ,etc,,etc,,

PL has been a blind pilot controlling a plane. Today we have more transparency greater access to ideas, and more dialogue.
I premember the days when even dialogue was impossible. Today, this is not only possible, it is happening at all levels. This is healthy, it will help our country make less errors and blunders.

We are all Seychellois, regardless of politics. For this we must find space to dialogue, be more brotherly towards one another, and change our approach of sa boule .

3:03 these issues LDS must push. President Faure will action as pressure is placed from the National Assembly. This is called balance of power, not cohabitation as LDS leadership wrongfully characterize their situation.

Seeking justice is good. But it is not a sufficient economic financial strategy since most of the money has been squandered already lost in the crash of 2007.

Totally agree........just to get short on the issue you rasied GIll .on the trashy situation at Anse Lazio.I remberduring Rene time there was a govt organization Called "= RUPEE(NICKNAME)it was temporary govt organized public work body that persons who awaiting a job or want to generate a little more cash could register and work temporarily (a dialy ,,half -day baisis)this body was quite effective ,,,,one of the very few project that ever worked under Rene.....TZhese persons duties were to go around cleaning beaches ,etc,,etc, in a word public work .....Many Seychellois took this job and it was in fact effective too ..What about reintroducing the same types of public temporary job for persons who would like to work temporary ...this would allow govt to keep Nase Lazio ,,but other beaches clean .....while providing many unemployed youths a dialy activity whereby allowing them to be active and at the same time make somepocket money ......
it seem we really need such a programme at the moment due to the trahsly situation around the country.

9:35 AM my understanding of the clean up operation is it is under contract these days. The contracts are 50,000 per 100 meters of beach or some thing like that. This makes that not all beaches get cleaned. So your point is valid in as much as we could pay per day rates for clean up in areas of need. This changes from time to time depending on weather.

Adrian Uzice has proposed numerous times that non paying fathers of child support, need to be convicted to serve community service contracts to clean beaches . In turn, money earned shall go to the children in need. Failing to attend and perform will result in a jail term.
This is a good idea.

Overall we need to remove the dead beat factor in our society. We need to streamline limited resources, be they human, financial, etc....

50 000 for hundred meters ..this is both excession and over budget .........can call that corruption and embezzlement..........while the job deliver is unfatisfying.......Comapre with the Rnenes programme in the 80s ------individual under this programme earned SR 20 rupee per hour for half day work,by noon thwe whoel Cote Dor beach was bleach cleaned .........comparing the task done, the time it was done and salary earned ....it shows that one the task can be done properly, for lower cost ,and on the same day ........if the company earning 50 000 of tax money to deliver less than there is a problem ......Governemnt should revise this actual programm .contractor and cost ...too expensive for doing little........
Even reintroducing Renes programm and paying .let say each individual Sr 50 rupee per hour goes far under the actual cost being pocket by a pl affiliate .....We the tax payers cannot accept this ...
Thgere ashould laos be a system of evaluation by state when contracts are bibbed to private company to ensure the jobs are being done properly as expected .

Anonymous said...

The local gvot should evaluate all companies contracted by state annually ....if not delivering contract given to them must be annulled and company changed .......we cannot let individuals affliliated with pl to continue rob tax money ......
The beaches of Praslin could be clean properly and entirely in Half _Day by around only 25 individuals for Sr 50 rupee plus per hour ........thus what this guy is pocketing Daily Namely sr 50 000 plus is definitively over budget ..over charged and unacceptable..........for the same amount (50 000)govt could pay 25 plus individuals on a half day basis more than a month......

COUld someone tell me pealse ,what promting peace pl is referring to in a country where the people never fgouht each other and has always enjoy peace because the nation is mono culture?Pl realeses that in fact the illegal gifting of our passports to those indains and tami ltigers who are more and more controlling pl would be the real rpoblme ot Seychelles with thr risks of creating ethnical conflcits which seychelels never had and should never have ......the best thing to do pl si not promting peace in seychelels where there ahs nevr been ar or ethnic conflict for we donot have ethnic or traibes in our country ..but rather cancel all those thousands of passports you illegall sodl to indains and tami ltigers and get them out of our land back to their country sir lanka.....
Go promote peace in war zone pl not in seychlles ..and to avoid future conflcits which would coely come from the fsutration of genuine Seychellois disturb by those indains and tami litgers becuae they latter cannot and have no intension to integrate or do as Seychellois but rather trying to impose their culture ,trtadtion .mentality on us and even want us to artificially consider them as genuine natura indigenous ethnic minority grou pof seychelels who m there are not --------
if pl want ot avoid future conflict the solution is straight forward namely revoked and cancel all those passports gifted ot indains andtamiltigers ...that is it pl ..

We will nevrert accept foreigners holding illelgally seychells passports pl ....gifting our birthrrgiht to indains and tamil tigers is criminal ,illegal and a crime committed by Michel Faure has to coerrect that by simply doing what is constitutionally and lawfully right namely cancel all those passports immiedaitely ......then peace will continue to flourish until enternity in seychlels as a mono culture with no ethnic groups.
