Extra, Extra, Seychelles Budget Disaster Beyond Expectations !

Happy New Year All Freedom Loving Seychellois!

Minister of Finance Sends Principal Secretary To SBC

No sooner than the first week of the New Year could get off the ground, and the national hang over from “No Enforcement Policy” on Public drunkedness and lewd behavior could be cured, the Minister of Finance, blocked time on SBC for his Principal Secretary to go explain the theory behind the National Disaster Budget to the People of Seychelles. The Principal Secretary, Mr. Payet left the Nation even more perplexed and uncertain, over his plans, and ideas then before the interview. His interview, likely left even PL MNA’s who blindly raised their hands in favor of this dastardly Budget in total remorse and regret. You know the old saying:” Hindsight is 20/20 Vision”- of course.

Euro Devalues Over Three Weeks 28%
Between the discussion of Rainbow Coalition gang at the Ministry of Finance, and SEPEC Boss Conrad Benoiton could reach a conclusion at the last hours of 2014, as 2015 rolled in, the EURO, national currency of our main Tourist inbound market, collapsed -28% against the US Dollar, the currency Seychelles purchases for goods, and pays its external obligations.
In a phrase, the perfect disaster dessert to go along with the Disaster main course, a la carte served by Minister of Finance, was dealt to the People of Seychelles, before they could even settle their 2015 hang over from the PL Sanctioned “Street Party”.

Fuel Crashes To 48.00 Per Barrel
While the Euro was going downhill, dashing the hopes and dreams of a holiday long haul, for 200,000 potential visitors, the price of oil per barrel was crashing on the international markets to a low of $48.00 per barrel, due to over supply, lack of demand, and systemic Deflation in the European markets. Cheap oil also meant cheaper gasoline in most if not all jurisdictions, except Seychelles. Conrad Benoiton has clicked Three Rupees off the price, but the real price of diesel in Seychelles should be Scr. 10.00 per litre, and gasoline should not be more then Scr. 14.00 per litre based on the international rate of fuel. SEPEC is playing games with the price of fuel, to keep its comfort zone safe and secure, while placing at risk the national economy of Seychelles based on Tourism and Fisheries. Both industries rely heavily on fair fuel prices, to remain viable.

January Empties Out Before St. Ange Returns
By the end of the year, NISB compiled every single name that could qualify as a person, and Visitor arrival to inch the statistics to 1% above 2013. After all this If any Yield in revenue from the same was down -5% from 2013.
In a phrase, Seychelles was sucking wind at the end of 2013. We were suffering. The numbers on occupancy show the Tourism Industry is collapsing. Yet, the Minister of Finance and the Rainbow Coalition of tight shirt technos said that the increase in taxes is fine, the Budget Strategy is perfect.
I will believe that when pigs fly.

Road Tax and Vehicle Tax Hike
If there is a tax that smells of Communism, it is the road tax and cc tax on vehicles.
The people hate this tax. The business community is cheated with this tax. It is morally wrong to tax a 1000 cc – 1600 cc car. No further comment.

The Message From Finance
The message Minister of Finance has sent is this: Seychelles is a double standard erradict destination,  that lacks consistency on tax scheme, and lacks compliance, lacks enforcement, because Minister of Finance does not know how to do its job. When that becomes apparent, the Ministry of Finance will just have to tax the People of Seychelles, kill them a little faster, off one by one, so there is a reduction in Consumption, therefore less Demand for hard currency, which we earn less and less each year, because we implement Budget policies that stick it to Visitors, stick it to the business community, and stick it to every Seychellois capable of earning a wage, and spending it in 2 weeks of the month or 2 days, depending on the month.

As Disaster Looms GOS Must Amend The Budget
Economic disaster is now imminent for Seychelles. I will with hold the adjectives on this issue now.
The only course of action is for government to sit down with the private sector, discuss the immediate pressing issues, amend the Budget immediately, before Seychelles is dismissed as viable Nation- State.
2015, we will see thousands in the streets, if PL does not change its approach and change its course.
PL remember this: “a country is hard to build-it can take decades, but it is much easier to destroy-that can be done overnight!”
If you do not believe me, ask you RASTSARIKKKA ( something like that) friend in Sri Lanka.
