The Seychelles National Assembly today, was the venue for a auspicious and historical day.
Elected members and proportionately nominated members of the 6 th National Assembly met to be sworn into office officially in a solemn setting attended by the three branches of government, diplomatic corps,press, journalists.
Speaker Herminie Speaks
Dr. Patrick Herminie took time to explain and highlight the progress the National Assembly has made under his tenure as Speaker. While debate was absent from an opposition for years, the Speaker took to digging down and deep in administering the National Assembly efficiently and smoothly. He is credited with a fine job, given the circumstance he operated under without an opposition. Seeing so many LDS in the House,must have made his skin crawl and made him uncomfortable. Similarly with the Le Pep incumbent MNAs. At least they will have ample time to mould their personalities into an era of negotiation, compromise, insight, understanding, empathy, respect for fellow Seychellois. In passing, Speaker Herminie said," let by gones...be bygones". On a personal level that may be much easier, the on a national level. While the appeal has been made, the question of " How to proceed as a Nation on this passing point is the white elephant in the corridors of the House".
Pillay Statesman and Man of Reason
Patrick Pillay was nominated Speaker of the National Assembly. In no time,as he spoke, he revealed his sound leadership qualities that qualify him not as a administrative Speaker, but as a national Statesman in the making. As he spoke, Speaker Pillay hovered over the meat and ax grinding politicians. The man just has class and no one on either side can take it away from him.
Had he become Leader of Opposition, he would have been destined to put PL into a coma with politeness.
Instead, Speaker Pillay announced a clear agenda,of genuine national reconciliation, agenda to stamp out corruption,agenda to empower our people,agenda to bring Christianity back into our deliberations and lives.
Speaker Pillay reinforced this,by inviting the two Archbishops of Victoria to say a prayer. This was quoted from bible passages. In turn, the Bishops ask Charles DeCommarmond,Leader of Government Business to read a passage from the Book of Kings, wherein Soloman, young son of David prays for the gift of Wisdom to rule over his people well.
Ramkalawan Leader of Opposition
Wavel Ramkalawan read the passage in Creole. All in all, Speaker Pillay has set the wise ground work,for the People of Seychelles to start a new era, dismantling France Albert Rene procedures in the National Assembly. It is a breathe of fresh air, that even Mr.President will be able to find solace in.
Chart A Course of Dialogue,Peace,Prosperity
The mandate of all MNA s will be to bury hate first and foremost.secondly,impart on a course of genuine national reconciliation and civilized dialogue. Seychelles has matured. Our leaders will have to demonstrate that. Then,we must enhance the Peace and insure prosperity for "All Freedom Loving.......Seychellois!" (Sorry, I had to say that of course")

It is true that Pillay is a man with quality of a stateman.He has demonstrated his leadership quality when he took the bull by the horn and challegned Pl ,,which resulted in seeing the Oppostion united and finally being the major force in the country.....
As citizen ,,,we approved LDS policy of reviving christianity ..which has been one motor of Unity throughout our history ..though attempt by communist pl to artificially bring in foreigners (timal tigers)to illegally colonized our land ,modified our society and artificially create ethnic groups to distort our unity as a nation and seychellois identity .

YES ,we need in certain fields still Expat workers ,,,,,but their number must be difined via a quota ,,and once quota set up ,it should never exceed .That they leave when contract over ,not staying ,buying our nationaility and land and calling themselves Seychellois.
Exapts amount for billions of dollar in financial leakage ........thus bad for our people .economy and country.....
All companies employing exapts ,for instance ,without justification ..in my opnion ,should be made to pay more in taxes-----
That exapts salary is paid through banks not directly hand to hand ..so that a percentage could be deducted from the salary before they send all to india-
That ..in the same establisdhemnt or hotels etc .. work force is made upü of 3/4 of Seychelles ..else more tax should be collected from establishment employing more exapts than Seychellois.

Apart from Exapts ..those pl gifted our passports without filling conditions set by constitution that define procedure to obtain NATURALIZATZION ....I believe since gifting or selling passport is illegal ,,all passports gifted to foriegners must be cancelled or revoked......

Pillay has presented himself as a Statesman focused on bringing the country together in a REAL way.
Ramkalawan presents himself as a sharp dominant tongued priest, with a distinctive lack of decorum.
He laughs like a hyena with the opponent, back slaps, slaps five behind the ass, it is endless.
Unfortunately, he remains a disgrace to Seychelles, and an obstacle for our progress, and presents little alternative to PL.

Direct air service from and to Finnland Seychelles ...a good move ,in that ,,that north europeans though among the richest countires in europe hardly come to visit us until now ........It is true that finnland in far north ..hence i cannot see Swedish ,danish ,norwagians fly upward north to then fly back south ..in order to come to seychelles.....it would means even a longer trip from them ..but any new deal that helps increase or boost our tourist arrival is welcome .........Amybe would should work on having the same deal with northern european countries such a<s Norway,danmakr ,sweden ...(they the richest euroepan countries but woudl also provide a bigger makret than finnland ........they have more spending power ,big population....
Direct flight Finnland /seychelles ........i personaly would have prefer a deal whereby Finnland Airline or airsey .....make at least a STOP in one of those countires like Sweden,Norway ,danmark on the way to seychelles which would have provided Swedenish,danish an opportunity to have a literally none stop flgiht to seychelles ..which would alos provide the airline to fill up their seats ..than ,,a direct flgiht from finnland to seychelles ....In other words ...a little short stop in one a country like sweden or danmark would entice swedish etc ..,,,to visit us ......Use finnland ..seychelles connection to carry danish ,sweish too ,instead of depending on finnish only ...which statisgic shows they not many who trave l...and i think ,,if the direct flight is not operating as CHARTER flight ,,,,the number of finnish coming here would not be that consequent ...and might even affect the deal due to lack of passager or empty seats ..
However ,as said ,,,any deal that would help boost arrivals should be welcome ......
