After coming in and promoting himself to be " Superman " from Joburg, The little Indian from South Africa, Manoj Papa, is not looking so super anymore.
Manoj lined up with Lovely stewardess from Seychelles, that have a very exotic look to them, to announce new routes to Mumbai, Dar Es Salam, And Madagascar, without any marketing strategy in place. It was as if no one was watching Manoj Papa, so he did whatever he dreamt of.
It has been a disaster. Low load factor making each route non viable, and costly to keep.
Paris Nightmare
The Paris -Seychelles Flight, with a technical stop in Abu Dhabi,has been a total flop. Unfortunately, we have also lost our main market, and the French may never come back for some time, until we can deliver a direct non stop flight.
Charles De Gaulle is a no brainer. It is a hub for Western Europe, we do not have to rely only on the Paris market to fill a direct flight, but we need to engage partners, asm seal the deal,with efficient cost effective tickets under 800.00 euro round trip.
Etihad -Air Seychelles Premuim Tickets
To aggravate matters on the route, Etihad and Air Seychelles are selling Seychelles as a Premium destination. This means in bottom line terms, one economy ticket on Etihad Air Seychelles, will cost near twice of a condor ticket to Seychelles.
Most Expensive Ticket To Seychelles
The Seychelles to many is the Rolex of island destinations. Air Seychelles prices it that way, and perhaps they may just pricing her out of market.
Empty seats, empty routes, empty hotel rooms. Manoj Papa has done a number on Seychelles.
The girls at Air Seychelles are calling daily, asking what to do with all those pictures of Manoj Papa.
