Distress Sets In As Educators Recognized Too Late!

This Friday, State House covered the guest chairs in white cloth and believe it or not......blue ribbons!
The move was to flat and fool the teachers who have had enough of a system that has allowed Education to fall to pieces. The look on the teachers faces was remarkable, and the frustration over the event noticeable. The leadership of the PL has lost touch with the teachers, who are suffer in from lack of support, lack of sufficient pay, too much taxes 15 percent, which strangles them monthly.

James Michel was noticeably out of touch, tired, and sported a sense of hopelessness on his face, hardly the look of a Presidential candidate.

Michel would have been much better off for himself, and his party, to pass baton to Faure, St. Ange or Adam, and retire, call it a day, avoid further embarrassment as he opts instead, to take Robert Mugabes staff at 70 to go into an election when the average voting age in small Seychelles is under 26.

James Michel, how much money do you need? You still do not have enough?  James Michel, what else can you do that others cannot do? How many Ramadoss will you create? How many Vijay's will you create?  When will you let Seychellois really be what they can be?

May God Bless All Freedom loving Seychellois!

Neglected teachers have had enough!
15 percent VAT on salaries has taken its toll on under paid Teachers.
Emphasis on qualified teachers, well educated, well geared to deal with social problems of our children, and unique circumstances has been neglected.
The UK style of teaching is based on pupils having stable homes with loving mother and father.
In Seychelles- most pupils do not have a father. Most do not have a mother attending to them and their educational needs.
Those that do, are the exception.
Our system of education must reorient itself.
PL has gone to sleep for too long to wake up to an educational nightmare.

being a teacher is not an easyjob.Teachers face pressure from families and Administrators;they have to worry about test scores, student`s physical and emotional wellbeing, and the pressure of adhering to stringent Curriculum Standards, waht is more, teacher often, donot receive the social Status of some other proffessional,(NB nurses are also subject to the same Problem as teachers)

Any organization that serves People or is concerned with satisfying the Needs of People must have an Environment in which the workers feel a certain pride in belonging to that institu^tion.

Key causes of morale deficit are:in part due to low-pay-high-cost-of-living gap.
Decisions handed from the top down leave teachers Feeling more like a ^Trainer than EDUCATOR.(POOR SALIRES WHEN COMPARED WITH PRIVATE SECTORS,OR EVEN WITH A Mps OR MINISTERS;EC members etc...)
Inequality in teaching loads between Management AND STAFF.

Pl has failed to provide high Standard education for seychellois .........and the stardard does not stop degrading year on year.....Before indenpedence ;Most Seychellois were able to enter western Universtiies for higher studies...today they are sent to Africa(known to be among the worse in the world) becuase under pl education has become so bad ,,that most students passed their A Levels with C,D,Dminus grade...of course not enough to attend western universities......

Some Solutions for Pl donkeys:
-Income tax exemple for teachers...while Mps,ministers should pay higher imcome tax (keeping in mind that they pocket a Pension for life also9
^-Earfly retirememnt for teachers while not reductrion on retirememnt salry.
-Or after 10 years of Service ,there shgould be be an automatic incrememnt (let us say 5 percent increase of their saLRY ,AND THIS INCREASE TAKES PALCE GRADUALLY EVERY FIVE YEARS)
-aLSO A Perfromance model can be used thus improve incentives to improve the effectiveness of the teaching staff,
Locals sahould be paid more than foreigners--not the contary Pl.
other incentives maybe,,houses,etc...

Pl ahs failed everyboby in the Country....teachers should modilize behind the oposition in order to get These incompetent ,noptists out ,,nce and for all.
