Mo Ibrahim Foundation Re- Looks at James Michel

This week I met a person who is assessing James Michel for the Mo Ibrahim Foundation Award, that recognizes and honors former dictators and tyrants that turn their country towards democratic practice, allow free, fair, credible elections and retire early to allow Democracy to root and flourish in Africa, and her respective countries.

The Peace Prize is A Great Honor
The Mo Ibrahim prize is a great honor to the candidate and the country alike. The cash prize is $ 3 Million paid out in portions annually, to insure the candidate lives well, beyond the pittance of the their Presidential Pensions. If they have fuel costs for private jets, they can meet these costs without a worry in the World.

Why James Michel is the Main African Candidate?

Turns out James Michel is the most likely candidate to win the Mo  Ibrahim Foundation  Award, after years of no dictator being considered for the prize. Mr. Michel has allowed facebook to thrive, in spite of the virulent attacks on him, sometimes very personal. He has allowed radio stations and private newspapers to flourish. In the eyes of the Observer, he has been non violent, and has more or less buried the hatchet of violence against his opponents.

The Seychelles economy has turned around, in a magnificent manner, which the Observer gives credit to James Michel government. The creating of Seychelles University, shows his aspiration to educate his people, though the Observer declined to entertain the thought that one had to be Le Pep to get a Bursar, and one had to be Le Pep to get a teaching job there.

The Observer pointed out that the voluntary reduction in Presidential Term limits from Three terms of Five years, to Two Terms was an overt act in the right direction, towards greater democracy that neither the African Union , SADC or the Mo Ibrahim Foundation could ignore.

What next?

I ask the observer, what is next then? He replied, well Mr. Michel is very close to being picked, he is definitely a running candidate for a award and recognition of great international honor and prestige, second only to the role Nelson Mandela played in Africa. I was lost for words, but held my breathe. He went on: " all Mr. Michel has to do now is resign, and let things take their course". The Foundation is alert, has not forgotten tiny Seychelles, she is today the pride of Africa, and we all wish only the best for Seychelles and her lovely people.

A moment of World Honor and Recognition Awaits

Such an event can unite the Nation, bring divisions to an end, and hold Seychelles regard and perception around the World second to none. Mr. Michel, the keys are in your hands, they do not have to be in Mathilda's hands.

Warning: Time is of the Essence.

Sesel Pou Seselwa!
May God Bless All Freedom Loving Seychellois!

This reminds me of a saying 'falling in a pond of SHIT - yet still come out smelling of ROSES' I hope JAM has the courage to announce his resignation to Ban Ki Moon.

Ah, this would indeed be a brilliant moment for JAM. It will give him the greatest amount of spot light coverage, and this will propel him to smell like roses instead of the pile of shit he is.

Ban Ki moon will ask Mixhel to resign and step down.
He will report back to MomIbrahim foundation to accelerate the prize ceremony.

Note michel has, always wanted to be seen as A Great leader that is his chance if he choose to do the right things namely,...build up a Unity Govt leads by Faure and then resign.
However, would never be able to walk in Mendela shoes...too big for his foot.......No one can compares himself as Mandela..........the could be inspired by him but not be him..

James Michel believes he can step into Nelson Mandelas shows.
If this will make him go away, and let Seychelles live in spite of his failures, let the goose think what he wants. The time for him to go is now

Michel had an oppiontment with destiny, and to follow on Mandelas footstep last december elections,as a Unifer. He could have forged a strong and united seychellois nation. He had a change to build bridges that connect people.Like Mandela,he could have chosen the path of reconciliation, instead Michel orchestrated propaganda attacks on.his Opposition.Instead of walking into Mandela footstep,Michel chose to walk his own path into the Abyss of division, fragmentation and hate

AVEK NOU,PA AVEK NOU. ..A Negociator would tell you“let us negociate a win/win outcome.Dictators, tell you“my way,the high way or jail“My way or the high way attitude is a splitting,an informal fallacy. It is a trite expression that sums up a dictatorial leadership style that is arrogance itself........The illusion of infallibility of dictators.A theatre about Domination, brawn and pugnacity.
Pl should ask.......“are we with the people, our real masters,or not“I remind pl that politicians are the servants of the people, not masters.. U know what pl,,,we not with u,as we dominate our own destiny........
We were not with you in 1977 butchering seychellois...today wecstill share the same position as in 1977,,,we not with u thugs...

3:43PM well written, bravo. It is still not too late for JAM to do the right thing. Our creator GOD is all forgiving and we will follow GOD and forgive our brethren, JAM, FAR & Co. However, JAM, FAR & Co has to, firstly recognise and acknowledge their faults, misdeeds and bullying of the Seselwa ki PA AVEC NOU. Secondly, they have to seek forgiveness from people they have hurt along the way. Thirdly, they should pledge not to commit and repeat these atrocities and crimes against the Seselwa nation. I pray and hope JAM, FAR & Co will make the right decision and seek true, genuine reconciliation before it is too late.

The problem with Mo Ibrahim award is that it given to aging dictators who have destroyed, zheir countries and robbed 100 millions from zheir peoples coffers and about to die.
Mos award is in away and ward for dictators who had destory their land and people livelohood than god governance.Maybe Mo should empower young africans by for instance sponsor Universities,Ngos etc...
Africa is the only place on earth whereby old men of over 70 are still ruling while their population are under 20,30 years old.

Pl wanted to confiscate public land, build solar farm, using tax money than gift it to pl members. The latter would sell the energy to PUc,thereby fillinf their pockets.
Seychellois saw the corruption in zhe making and did not turn up for pl organised meeting....a disaproval of pl crooks.
Does a small country with limited space need solar farming or plants?zhe answer is no.
Why?Zhere is more unuse space on individual rooftop..........
By installing PV on rooftop helps reduce heat in houses thus less usuage of ventilators or airconditions. When there is a technical problem it affect one household only. .there is no cost to transport energy from.plants to housesholds.

Check this out.Zhe sun puts out about a 1000 Watts per/sq.meter.Solar panels convert about 20% of zhis to electricity(zhus only 200W).A Megawatt plant would be 5000Times zhat,so you would need 5000 §-Sq.m(pl and zhugs want a 4megawatt plant) -zhat mean more tham 4 acres of public land use.....a massive footprint on.environment
Utility scale Pv systems incur not only energy transportation cost but has a nrgative impact on zhe environment...
Seychelles because of its limited space cannotcallow pl thugs to do zhe contery to what should be right for seychellois namely install Solar Pv on individual rofzop...so itis cheaper for zhere is no transporatation cost......it provide an insulation from heat zhus less ususage of ventilators etc.......when zhere is zechnical problem itvaffect one household only...provide hot water zobindividual househols........and best for seychelles as a tourism.destination with limited land.

Pl and thugs want farm because it will allow zhrm.to confiscate public land, sprnd tax money to built solar plant, thrn.gift it to.pl members or foreign crooks, zhe latter would zhen sell energy to PUC,make million of tax payers back....just like IDC...
I am.proud that seyhrllois did not attend pl meeting which is a clear rejrction of pl solar plant on zheir land and zhe use of the.money...... ......pl cannot folloe up with its premedizated cortuption project....zhe people rejected it pl.. .Solar.panels on rooftop is zhe soluzion for seychelles not solar farm orbplant....
SZOP TRYING TO SUCK MONEY FROM SEYCHELLOIS PL. ....

Judt like IDC,or zhose reclaimed idlands like Edrn ,spent millions of tax money to build reclaimedvislands zhen gift itbzo foreigners for one rupee life long....zhry can make millions in return and fill theirvown pocket ehile no monry enter government account.....
Pure corruption.

Whats all this 26 millions required to rebuild Farquhar ?

It will work out cheaper to lease out the island as is to potential investor. Obviously there will have to be strict guidelines of how the successful bidder develops this island.

That way it will cost us tax payers nothing and we will earn something from our motherland. I reckon we can get a cool 1 million USD per year. So in 20 years , we would have recouped USD20million as oppose to taking a USD20million that will take us 30 years to repay !

The only downside with this above suggestion is our local Prince Glenny will not benefit from it at all.......

World Bank calculated revenues from hotel on Farquar.
World bank needs to be advise this hotel was an illegal unlicensed operation not entitle to any funding.
Where the money goes no one knows.
