Joe Albert Says: " Seychellois Can Build"!

Seychelles business magnet Joseph Albert who likes to be referred to as humble " Ton Joe" was on SBC this week, on site, at the Ile Soleil development site in Anse Aux Pins paving roads, setting bridges, and spreading the tarmac with his well able staff, and he took a moment to make certain key declarations on SBC.

"We Seychellois Can build this Country"

Ton Joe in his bravado not dissimilar to a French accent John Wayne or a Italian born Rocky Balboa declared to SBC empathic ally -" we Seychellois can build this country, on Ile Soleil, we are showing just that" [ look at the proper roads! decent sidewalks! spanning bridge to the main island]. Indeed, Ton Joe has struck a cord in the hearts and minds of Seychellois. Yes we can! We can do it! This can do attitude Joe Albert professes is the same attitude combined with compassion for ones fellow man, a sense of decency that built big America. It can build tiny Seychelles in the right way.

"We Will Reinvest The Money Made In Seychelles"

Just when one thought Joseph Albert had said enough for SBC, he went on and said more:" our money earned here on this project will STAY in Seychelles". Joe need not say more, he had struck a cord twinning in the hearts of thousands of distraught ordinary Seychellois, who are tired of seeing the most beautiful islands in the World being pillaged by branded companies, and revenue fleeing in the hundreds of millions of dollars per year from our economy.

Even large hotels who are suppose to propel the standard of living of the Nation, are instead being accused of Price Transferring, and 30 companies in Seychelles pay 95% of all the government revenue today. Ton Joe has a highly valid point.

The Tenacity To Raise Seychellois Up!

Joe Albert has a tenacity for profit and competition. He has a tenacity to raise Seychellois up, up lift them. He does this through business. While at times he is hard to bear, he has now focused his energy on the construction Industry where his natural talents rests. We should all encourage Joe in his efforts and challenges.......he will invest in Seychelles, not build schools and houses in Southern and Central India.

Sesel Pou Seselwa!

May God Bless All Freedom loving Seychellois!

I fully agree with Ton Joe. However, since 5th June 1977 the sinister policy of FAR and JAM & SPUP/SPPF/PL was as follows:
1. Stop Educating Seselwa
2. Stop Seselwa working hard to survive.
3. Do not teach Seselwa how to fish, instead give them the fish !
4. Make Seselwa believe we are inferior and we always need foreigners to lord over us.
5. Make Seselwa believe we are good for pit biznes. Samosa, Gatopiman, Banana & Friyapin chips.
6. Gro biznes are reserved for the royal family, Savy, Adam, Albert and most recently the Arab Sheiks, Russians, Czech etc...
7. Us Seselwa should feed ourselves on Heroin, Seybrew, canned tuna and all cheap processed rubbish that are imported in Seychelles, and sold to us at exorbitant prices.
8. Our fresh fish are harvested from our seas by foreigners and exported at exorbitant prices to developed countries.
9. Our beautiful mountain sides are sold at 1 rupee, but us Seselwa are relocated into cheap asbestos housing on reclaimed land. (Note, I would rather stay under en gro rosin stead of moving to Peseverance.

My list could go on all day..... We are on the brink of becoming a minority in our native land, whilst we watch new imported Seselwa take over our country, change our national language to Tamil, Arab, English etc.......We can stop this engineered change by voting in LDS candidates at the next election. The time was 10 years ago, but its not too late, we can do it & we will do it.

It was LDS leader who promised Tamils seat in cabinet, promise to make Tamil an official language, promise to implement Tamil National Day.

Cut Vijay contracts give to Seychellois companies.

Vijay is bleeding commercial clients for rent money. He is over charging at Eden island commercial given the low consumer traffic.
When you beg him to reduce the rent because business is slow his daughter tells you: " if you cannot pay leave someone else will pay" .
Is this responsible business practice?
Is this the words of a responsible citizen?

Joe Albert is building Seychelles.
Vijay builds India and does charity in Seychelles to keep tax office off his back.
" I give 1.00 you turn your back on the 1 Million I owe. "
This is Vijay.
Patrick Payet take off the tight shirts and catch up with reality.
You standing in Afif shoes.
Right now you are making Afif look pretty good. Get to work . Crack a sweat.
Mr. President James me Michel I advise you Patrick Payet is a very lazy Principal Secretary. Very Lazy! More to come if he sits on his butt more.

Seychellois built victoria, but itctrue that after pl coup detat our people were not trained in the, skills zhey needed, but rather pl priority has bern indoctrination and teachong them how too use ak 47.

As to public construczion,pl practices collusive bidding schemes...Public construction contracts are given to pl affiliate like Vijay,or other companies like the one on ile soleil zhough many ozher contractors should have also benefit from these big public construction.Collusive bidding scheme always involve corruption.

Would a praslin base and local contractor be granted zhe bid zo build the new jetty+

Anonymous said...

UCPS is able and capable to BUILD the new jetty. As a Seychellois company it should be given priority to build.
Only if UCPS cannot do the job should VIJAY be considered. Have you seem the mess VIJAY did with the pool at Raffles? The decks?
Horrendous.
I would not trust VIJAY with a Jetty since our lives will depend on his craftsmanship.

Anonymous said...

We must all support UCPS to be awarded the jetty contract as a matter of National Dignity and National Self Respect.
Vijay was given the task of building a few national heritage posts, he took it a step further hijacked our heritage sites and placed his name on them as if they are some sort of 150 cotton count tee shirts he gives his GOP workers from India to wear, sporting his name to it.
He puts his name even on their meal pales. Pathetic.
If government wants to work for Seychellois, then put Seychellois to work.

Before taking the hat-off for Joe one needs to remember the real JOE.
YES! JOE senior the millionaire who employed lot of creole leos for planting and picking up coconuts, not forgetting our KANNEL! Joe was the man of honor during that time, occasionally he will raised up voice and tell his employees, MON PA ANPES ZOT KOZE ME MON OULE MON LAPEL EK KOUTOU MONTE DESANN.Now can you tell someone that today?

JOE junior is a billionaire today because he was thought the real way that is why he is successful. As someone said if he ran for President he will get my vote!

As I sat in my veranda yesterday watching our proud men and women walking in the Olympic stadium with the a Ricky Ras style I get one message for them,Pil-lo-li. Meaning all the way,the sky the limit!

Interesting, all very colorful history that makes Seychelles so brilliant!

Joe understands the devastating consequences of fnancial leakage created by foreign companies like Vijay and the unemployment problems created by such practices.

Well Alain wanted to be a millionaire too but he stays where he is he can forget it.
Try harder my man- He tried to set a limit on tourist entering the country-since now nothing new.Yet he is wasting our tax money annually with his Carnival!
Try this - Setting WC's or bathrooms by Anse Source D'Argent, WHY? Tourists are running behind the rocks to discharge! Those Seselwa who are 'leve debourye' selling coconuts for SR50.00 each. Average day they sell 100 x 50= 1500. No proper disposal of the husks!End up behind the rocks! Maybe it will sprout back just like JAM planting the fish! Stray dogs? stray dogs and more stray dogs.
Flies flies and more flies at the little stall selling takeaway for some quick bucks.
All those food are prepared at home bring to the stall and microwave!Do they have a license to operate? Their bathroom or WC's whatever they call are almost 100 meters away.I went in and to my surprise no paper, lucky I brought my own! Another surprise,I can see everybody outside through holes in all direction!
StAnge please work on these and might be the next billionaire!

I have been following this issue closely in the cross sector.
For those who do not know, the cross sector is a meeting that takes place regularly between all minister, private sector (SCCI and SHTA in attendance, air Seychelles, Police, health and transport departments.).
This issue falls squarely on Minister a Christian Lionnet shoulders, he has been dealing and addressing the issue of Public Toilets on Anse Source D Argent as well as Beau Vallon and Victoria, Anse Lazio.
The Health aspects fall on Minister Mitcy Larue.
The Environment aspects fall on Didier Dogley.
To be fair, St. ange has been trying his best to get these ministers to live up to their responsibilities.
On Praslin we have similar lingering issues with the same ministries.

This article on Joe Albert has exceeded 2000 views and it is doing 500 today after three days.
It now ranks top 5 all time, an indication that Seychellois from all political spectrums and business and workers alike want to see a change in approach in our country.
We Seychellois must heal divisions and seek common ground to move forward or we will perish in our own country.
We must help each other where we can, or others will manipulate us all to their advantage.

Mr Gill, it is PL that has been using the British Policy of 'Divide & Rule'. Get rid of PL and Seychelles will start to flourish. Once PL is out of power, It will take us a good decade for Seselwa to start reaping the benefits of our blessed country. So first thing to do is vote an LDS Assembly in at next month election. If LDS has a majority we can hopefully start seeing some light at the end of the tunnel. IF LDS wins the working majority and they fail us Seselwa, then we will have to deal with them accordingly. However, if LDS delivers on their promises - it can only get better for my Seselwa people and genuine, bonafide foreign investors too. Long live a free, just and fair Seychelles for all SESELWA.

We can do it un half that time.

Anonymous said...

Wecan do in half or lo.ger ,it does not matter, important, seychellois contractors brnefit first from seychelles economy, and ensure mpney stay in our country and donot land as financial leakage in india or elsewhere..
Foreign contraczors like Vijay should be made to pay more tax zhan locals zo be able to havecontracts in seyhelles.Note Vijay is not a conszruczio. Engineer or hold any degree on construczion,it just happen he met and sleep wizh pl and ready to participate on pls offered bribery deald, such as over charged or over budget contractors ehereby pl get zhe shares in rezurn,,,,,Vijay recruite zhen.indian engineers, construction rxperts to work for him and he pocket zhe money.......... .i would prefer to see seychellois been given the contrats though zhey may so do like Vijay namely recruit then ondian rxperts,at zhe bulk of zhr money wouls stay here.

I heard Vijay giving one of those long winded archimonious speeches once. He claimed to have an engineering degree and his father worked hard as a laborer to insure he was able to go to school.
I would never advocate taking anyone's degree away from him because he has become a hazard to the economy and a direct threat to our heritage.
We must deal with this situation intelligently.
It is fair to say, Vijay has been handed a golden platter from MLUH under Patrick Lablache and Christian Lionnet. There are numerous and countless examples where he has drawn the better card in the deal.
It is time we look to Seychellis contractors to build Seychelles .
Big players like UCPS can in turn subcontract to smaller operators,
We are in a age wherein we will have to be serious responsible in our way forward.

Since all these comments were made to now, it is to note that VIJAY ended up being awarded, yet again, the biggest government contracts of the year, not one but 2, which comes to over 100 million rupees for iles du port and perseverance road infrastructure&co. Why is the public wealth not shared among different contractors and always given to same one. Hopefully the new political climate will put an alt to these abuses ???
VIJAY has played his cards well to become unstoppable at the detriment of the Seychellois...

Anonymous said...

This is Seychelles. The contracts can be cancelled.
Ask Christopher Gill how to do it. He knows.

Anonymous said...

A court judgment has been awarded to Savoy group against Vijay I understand exceeds 200 million rupees.
The underlying basis of the judgment is fraud in the inducement by Vijay.
If this is correct, government must cancel all contracts to Vijay as he is now a flight risk and he s advise the court I am told, he will not pay.
This is the basis to cancel all contracts to Vijay.

Let's Work Together!

Sesel Pou Seselwa!
