Seychelles Faces Crime Wave!

Recently there has been a surge in crime in the Seychelles. The most shocking incident was the brutal murder of Damien Morel. The details of this murder are side stepped in respect to her memory and her family.Daily now it seems, people are being hit on the road by drunk drivers, drunk bus drivers.Fraudsters lay down on the road, play dead, then when a Good Samaritan stops his car to assist, he is robbed by a gang that lay in wait for a victim.

At Tourist sites on Mahe, gangs with knives in hand, attack tourists, demand money, or cut.Purse snatchings in town and on beaches on Mahe is common. Only yesterday, on Praslin, a back pack was stolen from a visitor. We Have A Drug ProblemWhen a society has a  of violence combined with criminality, it is usually drug related. In Seychelles, we have a serious drug problem that has gone on too long with too little serious attention. Five years ago their was estimated 3,000 hard drug users in Seychelles. 15,000- 20,000 cannabis recreational users. Today we may well have 5,000 hard drug users but the authorities are not coming clean with the numbers. We have in jail near 1,000 men and about 75 women.Police Have Lost It!The Police under the leadership of Joel Morgan have simply lost it. Commissioner Quarte is just tired, past retirement has he has turned into a Internal Affairs rubber ball. Most recently Morgan brought in a South African to be given title Assistant Commissioner of Police. Incredible, is it not. The fellow is trying. He visits people tries to get  a grip on the madness. But it is not his country, and it is not his problem. Crime is a Seychellois problem in Seychelles, it is up to Seychellois to solve the problem.

Morgan’s addiction to recruiting foreigners, first gurhkas, at least 150, then Irish, then South Africans, is exactly what is destroying the Seychelles Police professional cadre and moral.Hundreds and hundreds of Police have left the force. Many have gone into private security, hotel security, overseas, and the Seychelles Government has been too proud to renegotiate with these officers, who in most cases, loved their job, but hated the way they were treated. The Police of Seychelles, has a serious Human Resource Manpower managerial problem and I am shocked that the PL have not seen the problem in all this time. PL the problem is you. You mix politics with your policing. The Commissioner of Police must contravene the Constitution of Seychelles, not be independent and be a “Yes- man”. This is the root of the problem.Police Lack of EducationUnder Joel Morgan’s lording over the Police, a cadet is admitted into the force after Three (3) months training. What kind of Police do you get? A three (3) month baked cop. Pretty useless is it not? In most cases yes. insufficiently trained Police are a big problem as much as crime is a problem. They are rude, do not know how to write a Police Report, do not know how to drive a vehicle, but they deal with traffic infractions. What Morgan is doing, is creating a total mess in the Police Force. These three month baked cops get paid 5,200.00 entry level, minimum wage. It is a joke. What Morgan should do is train and educate Police to meet the challenges of today. This means Two year courses, Four year officer courses, higher pay to commensurate with the education, and build up the professional cadre to deal with a Seychelles that is much more sophisticated today then it was 25 years ago.Morgan may say that Two year courses are expensive.Well, Three month baked cops are more expensive than Two year well trained Police. While you are at it, careful you do not educate crazy people. Run tests on your cadets. We cannot afford a Police of nut bags, right Denousse, right Didon? I am sure you will agree with me while your balls freeze in Canada. At least you still have them. The choice is yours, beef up or burger about with a failing Force.Either way, we will get the results of your input.

Pleasing one man has put the entire nation into jeopardy
including ‘the man’ and our people and country!
Lack of intelligence is a very sad affair where Seychelles is concern. Look at James Michel for example, loaded with false certificate worth nothing for the entire world knows James Michel as the man that terrorizes the people’s souls!! Slowly and surely the UAE is taking over most of the businesses and soon there will not be enough room for Seychellois people to spread their wings and promote their countries. Albert Rene had made sure that whoever comes next will have to cover up his wrong doing and keep stealing from the people to enrich both the Rene’s and Michel’s family in and out of red locks. I mean come on, shouldn't we be a rich nation if we were not being misguided by thieves and fools? Now even Rene have said that he has no trust whatsoever in James Michel, and this is why he is wearing a worried face. Facing his failures has now become a nightmare! Good news for those that are losing hope, hold on to your panties; James Mitchel may think he is free to do what he wants, but let me assure you that Americans hates his stinking breath, Obama is watching you James Michel, Australia and England is also watching; hold on to what you are doing if you know what I mean! I know that you know that I know what you know! If it’s too complicated you shall know better soon enough now, won’t you?

3 months training is nothing more than a joke! No wonder Seychelles is a nest for thieves and crimes! Drugs has never been so easy in the Seychelles, time for the good inhabitants to take matters into their own hands! Fuck the force!

The proposal for three months training is Minister Joel Morgan"s proposal.
It explains why we have incompetent Policing. No deterrent strategy to crime, only reactionary after the fact.
PL does not take the safety of Citizens or visitors seriously.
This is the cause of high criminality in Seychelles.
Before a criminal gets caught, he has committed dozens of offenses.
