Le Pep Losing Praslin As Support Base

The ruling party, Le Pep is losing ground heavily, and quickly in Praslin, a former stalwart strong hold. In the last election, they lost Grand Anse, Praslin as a seat in the Parliament.  Baie St. Anne seat saw the largest and most significant degradation of votes by near -500 votes, making it now a district within reach of victory by the Opposition. What is causing the fall out?
Mitcy Larue Family Becoming Richest Family
Minister Mitcy Larue, Ex Le Pep supporters say has become the richest family on Praslin over night. It is being noted they drive in brand new Lexus SUVs and a public servant should not be taking on such opulence, particularly, if you are a cc member of the People's Communist Party. Naturally, her children have defended this new acquisition and others such as yachts, speed boats, etc... But the impact on the rank and file of ordinary Le Pep supporters has been profound. It is rumored that one of her Sons will now bring in a FERRY to compete with William Rose and Joe Albert. Free market you want, free market you get, he says. Recent appointment of Minister Larue to Internal Affairs has not gone down well on Praslin. Residents say, if she failed so badly at Ministry of Health, why is she kept at Internal Affairs? Well, probably to keep James Michel informed of internal developments, watch over the file of the skull at Beau Vallon, keep a eye on Claude Monnaie file , Ryan Lesperance, and my file on the burning of my shed in 2011, amongst others.

Le Pep Forgets Praslin Exist
No sooner then elections were over, the road improvements on Praslin stopped. The Tarmac disappeared, roads were left undone, incomplete, with pot holes over running volume of good roads. The road to Anse La Blague daily is congested and tourist run into the gutter daily, as they try to pass other cars in a one way lane being used by oncoming traffic. The situation is alarming, causing damage to rent a cars, hence costing the country hard currency in parts when it could be avoided.

Since elections, NOT a single minister has turned up to discuss the pending issues of Praslin, which is very unique to Mahe and La Digue. Ministry of Employment held a meeting on the amendments to the Employment Act, the Minister, Eddith Alexander, failed to attend her own schedule meeting. She promised us statistic on Employment and unemployment in January, to be available in May, for Praslin, and now in November, we still have no statistics made available. Alexander has now been transferred to Youth, Sports, Culture. If she promised you uniforms and footballs in 2016, expect delivery in 2020.

Minister of Finance Monopoly Practice
The Ex- Minister of Finance Jean Paul Adam, has been demoted to Ministry of "Hell" Health. After making a mess of the tax system, not replying to e mails, text, phone calls for two years for a simple letter, I could not seriously expect this young man to handle vertical - horizontal Integration in the Tourism Industry.

Minister Adam brought in the World Bank, they filed a Report, he kept it and do not share it with us. Now I suppose, he will wear the AIDS Epidemic  Report under his hat, along with the Heroin Addiction Report. He promised us three legal advisors and legislation to allow SME businesses a fighting chance on Praslin while we face huge Creole and Big Mason's.

Minister Adam spoke a lot, bounced around a lot, but in reality, Adam delivered nothing, except solicit support for his own presidential campaign. If you do not have the decency to write a letter you promised to write, how can we trust you to be a President? In Praslin, action speak louder then words.

The issue of Monopoly practice on PRASLIN was an issue presented to the now President Mr. Danny Faure, in December 2015, because Minister Adam was sleeping on the file.

He promised the community that by January 2016, first order of business in the New Year, he will deal with this issue, for Praslin and the whole country. Until today- Nil By Mouth!

Mr. President, this issue needs urgent attention. As I said to your Ministers before the last election, it will cost Le Pep to sleep on this issue. They seem to have dropped this message in the Vallai De Mai, it never reached your table. Now it will really cost you.

LDS sends people to Praslin every week to eat Le Pep alive! All you can say if you do not get moving fast is.........Bye, Bye, Praslin............for life!

When you lose Praslin, you will lose all! No joke!

Sesel Pou Seselwa!

May God Bless All Freedom Loving Seychellios!

I GUESS ,WE SHOULD ASK FOR AN INVESTIGATION OF HOW Mitsy larue a poor teacher who came minister not longer than 2 years had become Multi millionaire overnight.Pl blah balh about setting a Corruption body and members on this body was saying"we ready for action"they can therefore start by investigating Mitsy larue ill -gotten wealth, apparently embezzled from Health ministry ....unless Mitsy can proven without doubts that age has taken loans for banks .
I was told that these big cars imported by Mitsy enter the country without having Mitsy paying a single cent of duty and tax.

Ohhhhh...my Beautiful Praslin.....we left you 35 years ago.....we saw you crying....we saw you in pain......but still in our heart you are the most beautiful island in the whole world. It was all about coup-de-tat which was not justify. One person was angry for power,if he could wait he would be the next President without doubt. Now after 39 years LDS will start from 1976...what a waist of valuable oxygen!
Many people had to escape out leaving our tradition of dans moutya dan la pousyer to dans moutya dan la freser...some made it along the way...and some didn't......

A classic case of political a privilege grown into opulence and abuse of public position, abuse of public assets. Zil Eve. How many plots Mitcy Larue family has? Marie Jeanne estate for the poor and land less?

Corruption has been and continues to be the modus operandi of the regime ,and if Faure to clean up his cabinet from likes of Mitsy,,he would regret it.I hope Faure clearly understand the gravity of the issue when he longly spoke about corruption in his inuagural speech, adding that he would literally show an Iron fist against corruption and graft as the illicit practice(in fact the biggest business in Seychelles Under p,the economy of kleptocracy ) has become endemic and bleeding our country.
Faure must walk the talk and fight Grans corruption ,starting with thugs in his own party and cabinet if he wants to be taken seriously on the issue. The culture of coruption must be changed rapidly before the tangled webs on corruption spun by polical elites and friends in seychelles are shattered. The major problem with changing the culture of poltical corruption ,as PETER EIGEN observed"in many part of the world ,the lcoal people are resigned to the fact that there is corruption".

Of course mwe are aware and have heard a gang of appointed persons ,talking about the regime's Anti _Corruption Commission, the people however see the whole afford with a jaded eye.The simple fact of the matter is that having "the anti corruption agency"to oversee, monitor, investigate and prosecute the architects and benficiaires of corruption in Seychelles is like having Tweedle Dee monitor, investigate Tweedle Dum.it is difficult to be a convinction when the son is the robber and the father is the judge.
Seychelels can much learn from Botswana, regarded to be the least corrupt country in Africa. The "Botswana Model"uses the strategy of "Name and Shame"to educate and accentuate public awareness on corruption.Using the free press as a tool ,Botswananans name and shame corrupt Officials by publishing their pictures on the front pages with the headline"Is this man corrupt"Botswanan`s top political leaders are said to maintain high levels of public integrity and teach by example. In 2012 ,Botswana ranked an extraordinary 30/174countires on the Corruption Index
.
The other remedy for corruption lies in vigorous and well-publicized criminal prosecutions of corrupt officials ,asset forfeitures,(divestment of corruptly obtained wealth)and imposition of tough prison sentences on convicted corrupt officials.

FAure must walk the talk now.

Corruption is in Pls members bloodstream ,it has become as addiction throughout the decades and literally since as a legal endeavour by those who perpetuate it.Corruption is the hemoglobin that delivers life-sustaining oxygen to their nerve center.DIANOZING corruption in Seychelles ..it is a clinical diagnosis which determines the cancer cells of corruption ,are not confined to one organ of state(customs authority)which can be surgically removed and treated with the panel equivalent chemotherapy and radiation. The corruption cancer has spread throughout all organs of state.

The chemotherapy for the cancer of corruption in Seychelles is a free press that can aggressively and doggedly investigate and report corrupt officials and practices for public scrutiny --Like "Free Seychelles now" has been doing.
The radiation therapy for the cancer of corruption is an Independent prosecutorial office that that could catch not only the small winnows in the pond but most importantly the big whales and sharks to the likes of Mitsy swimming at highest levels of government.A real independent judiciary that is capable of adjudicating corrupt cases with due process of law is also very much indeed. The preventing care for the cancer of corruption involves vigilant civil society institutions which can work freely at the grassroots levels and provides anti -corruption awareness, education, training and monitoring.
None of these medications exit in seychelles today,,or if they exit they are fake.

How can Faure fight corruption, when he himself is appointed president in a corruptible ''pas baton' style. If we are serious about fighting corruption, we need to firstly start on a fresh list of voters. Secondly, we need to call for fresh Presidential elections.

Anonymous said...

Faure cannot be the anti corruption champion ..remember He and Michel robbed 50 million dollars gifted by Khalifa to Seychelles people .....When he was asked about the money banked in a Uk bank ..he said"It was to buy food to feed seychellesois"...Of course the food he was referring to was Rice and we donot and never imported rice from Uk..noting also that Assembly never gave neither Michel nor Faure any autghorization to unilaterally robbed the 50 millions and banked it in Uk bank.I guess you remember ,Faure going to the Assembyl and telling the MPS to "Hurry up approved the Cape ternay project "..a project for Arab which would have destroyed Cape Ternay environment etc.. ..I remember ,even Crooked Potter objected it.

As to a fresh Presidential Election------of course A president must be elected not appointed......but I will follow the Opposition ..by allowing him to finish the end of the year and maybe give him until the end of 2017 to delvier ,,if not we reserve our rights to call on him to demission and call for a new Election. If he fail in the first year of his PASS BATON mandate ,then he should go and we will make sure he does go or call for a new election...if he refuses he would not be able to rule.NB...when Pl unilaterally modified the Constituion to make PASS BATON possible ,Dr >RAm I guess was an MP,,,,,,,he fialed to blocked this illegal deal,he fialed to informedthe public as he failed to ever brought it up at any time during his mandate as MP and Opposition leader .which means RAM shares some responsibility that Pl modified the constitution without worry.

Faure wants the budget pass to live for another year. This is all he is sesrchIMF for. The question begs: will LDS grant him his wish without delivering any good of substance?

Already Faure has side track NA by simply making every potential minister a Sec of State and special advisor.

On Zom Lib he is silent.

How can we move on given his speech on reconciliation which sounds good but lack action in a timely manner?

Take To The Streets!

Anonymous said...

Take to the Streets!Well,LDS supporters are already on stand-by---they have been asked to wait and see what Faure will do with his grace period.YOu know what ,Faure can change history and brake Pl free falls... and go in history as a Hero...but so far his actions have been to continue as his predecessors...... a bad start indeed.GHANDI said"the future depends on what you do today"..the future of Faure is also waht he does today....he has two choices ..go a different way than his predecessors or end up in the same trash bin of history as they did. With one disadvantage for FAURE ...as appointed Prsident ,he might never go until the end of his term if he started to fail us months after he was appointed....WE WILL FORCE HIM OUT .

Anonymous said...

Faure inaugural speech more and more seem to have been much more a distraction than convinction......He is losing the Opportunity to mark a change to his past, which is a bad judgement, in my opinion. As the saying goes"the sure way to miss success is to miss the opportunity"

We need to understand who is in charge of this situation.

1. It is NOT James Michel.

2. It is NOT Faure.

3. It is NOT Ramkalwan.

4. It is NOT Pillay.

This is a PEOPLE POWER movement. Faure has ask for grace. Ramkalawan has led the charge. Pillay has ask for civility. Michel has run to the closet at ESPACE.

Faure should use the Grace Period wisely.

In the meantime, Ramkalawan should set the deadline for Removal of Zom Lib as a first step in Good Faith. This must be done before Budget Presentation. Failing that, Take To The Streets! No option.

Praslin has so many unsolved murderers yet most point to the same group of people.

Msye Gill thank you for writing about the neglect of Praslin by the government. It is true. People of Praslin respect you a great deal. No one else has exposed this. You have done what you can but the Le pep people do not care about us . Praslin has been left behind. Drug addicts every where. The hospital is breaking apart. The schools are in a bad situation. Business is suffering. They will ignore us again .

THought Praslin is the second biggest island of seychelles ,yes, little has been done by Pl in the last 4 decades.......i wonder should it continues like this ,if Praslinois should not take to the streets and ask Pl to leave Taxes ,money contribute by Praslinois be kept on Praslin in order that we can get things done ourselves------Praslinois contributes multi millions annually to central government ,this money colected on Praslinois are then use to sponsor Pl projects in other Pl controlled districts instead of being invested where ti is generated in the first place.Considering the total gross amount contribute by Praslinois annually to the gevenrment ..more should get done on Praslin, and if government cannot do more ,than our contribution to state should stay On Praslin for Praslin's development and for the benefit of Praslinois.

Just look a Palce liek Cote Dor ,highly teemed with tourists ,but still drainage are not covered ,streets not street lights though ,today there are cheap SOalr powered street lights avialable around the world.Murder not solve as crimies against tourists increase..due to the unresolve Drug problem Praslin face.....among of problems.

We should force Pl to leave Tax money paid by Praslinois on Praslin for Praslin development instead of give it to Mitsy to import duty free big cars for her sons.I guess the only thing Pl did in the recent year ,is built a bus stop at a cost of SR one million rupee .....embezzled by the Pl mayor and he was never made accountable for.

The Kernel of coco de Mer sells for €150.00 per kilo. All un accounted for over the years. 100s coco de Mer are collected per momth . Each nut produces 15 30 kilos of kernel. Add it up. Le pep is stealing from Praslinoise taking us for fools.

mr FAURE IS already lying to us!! if he was sincere he would have made some fresh changes with his cabinet and he is just be pat nou latet...but he will regret it this time, maybe he is still taking orders from JJ???
hE DID NOT PROVE ANYTHING SO FAR.....seselwa is watching you Mr Faure....

Anonymous said...

When I llok the amount of coc de mer collected and then secretly sold by Pl and money banked into Pl members bank account,,,,all the various taxes paid and collected by Pl government on Praslinios and businesses based on Praslin .....this is a lot to millions that could have bring Praslin to the standard it should rather than giving A central corrupt government all the money that we nenver know where it was invested ..In fact often robbed by members of pl government and ilks.

Faure has not approved anything so far ,but instead he wants by dictation for the Assembly to approve all his undetailed deals such as the building of a New terminal By a foreign company based in ADudabi ,,OR DICTATING TO THE mpS TO APPROVE AN iNTERNATIONAL CONVETIONS ,,NEGOCIATED in our names by I guess TWO PL members only ..and that without providing regular information on the deal to Assembly. In fact ,Faure might not be doing or approving anything important o for the country but he has demonstrated that he cannot get away with his past and think independently and still hold the same crookedness as is predecessors ...:eg. we appointed Pl aprty members like Herminie and others as Principle secretary when normally principle secretary should be person outside politics..It is a a way to ensure that Pl elites keeps depending on tax payers instead of search for a real job.Faure must not thing that we goig to hold back and look at him until 4 years from now ..No Faure ...the massive street protest Pl is afraid of ,is on stand-by and if you asking for it ,,you will get it soonner than later Dr Faure......Pratices of the past would no longer be tolerated by this generation of Seychellois ....

FRAUD IN Paradise-

€150.00 per kilo X 10 kilo per nut mature = € 1500.00 per nut.

Fond Ferdinand - 50 nuts per month € 150.00 X 10 kilo X 50= € 75,000.00 per month.

Vallai De Mai - assume same turn over.

€ 75,000.00 X 12 = € 900,000.00 per year, assuming the nuts are all 10 kilos. Some are 20 kilos.

€ 900,000.00 X 40 years= € 36,000,000.00. ( No wonder Le Pep is saying sorry every day)

Next question- whose account did all that go into. Hint- they love yachts!

Anonymous said...

Should Valley De Mai ONLY allow to sell coco- de- mer and ensure that money generated form sell out is used for protection, etc, of Valley de Mai Pl?

Anonymous said...

Dr Faure, instead to delivers on the first day in office and deal iwth crucial issues such as increase crime .unemployment,etc.. is instead on a tour to try and get seychellois to love him especially as non elected President, and behind him , his dog Meriton.....when i look at them i could only laugh.

Why not tax Mitsy luxury Car .by introducing a LUxury< Car tax ..like in Australia
-Maybe a Carbon tax on cars too.
-PROPERTY --from comercial complexes ,industrial houses
-LAND TAX-----applies to all residential properties that are rented or are owed by trust Coorporation.....e.g New Pirate Amrs building .Corail housing complexe....Eden Island etc

Capital Gain TAx-----
Residetnail tax--applies to porperties --e,g blocks of flats.warehouses -e-tc
Excise Tax..

Instead of new taxes that suck onyl a part of society ,you Pl donekys...
