If michel really cares about our farmers and the effects of climate change on farming,he would have by now starts,atcleast a pilot project on the use of HYDROPONIC FARMING,on a plot of land at the agriculture school,so that students could learn about this new farming technology,hence,use it as part of their farming practice,for more cost effective production,which would give farmers more yield. If michel cares about food security andvour farmers...he would stop importing cheap ill chickens from Brazil ,teemed with a meat teemed with anti biotic to poison seychellois and help develop health hazard and allbkingvof cancers in ourvpooulation. On french Tv,i saw a report on how chickens are feed before export in Brazil..U know what,these chickens arenliterally feed by being injected withvanti biotic.....they are doped....chickens of two werks old become so fat and heavy that they cannot stand on their,nor walk....thecweight has become too heavy for their legs.......the multi dosescof all sorts ofvhuman healzh hazard anti biotics make them.luterally look like living bead..that is what michel wantvusvto consume. Chicken farmers were promised assistance to compete against importers of broilers from BRAZIL. The financial assistance was to come from a LEVY of SCR. 5.00 rupee per KILO on each KILO of imported chicken broiler. Over the years, this LEVY has accumulated to now reach 100 Million rupees as a FUND. Why have not farmers been assisted with these funds? The situation of farmers is incredulous and unacceptable in Seychelles today. This is not unlike the situation with fishermen.
