Lumaria, and many other five star hotel are Killing SME as they are killing seychelles economy.Lumeria as most five star hotels are overseized, too big,,,and since they cannot and would never be able to fill up their rooms at ful cocupancy at anytime of the year,,the resort to dumping price to attract tourists who otherwise would have booked Small hotels or guest house.Thrse overseized hotel, not only kill sSME by dumping price,,the fact that pl has allowed them to import and outchase all their goods from abroad, kills seychellois farmers and other small tourism related businesses. At thr same length, the fsct that pl has given them tax exemples on literally every and anything, give them financial power,or financial reserves that allows them to dump price articifially, and pre madiatedly to kill SME....It is a pre mediated strategy.........in the end SME ended up in bankrupcy, thus allowing to have Monopoly oand control.this is not the kinds of economyseychelles need, but rather sustainable economy....monopoly never create sustainabilty.......A new Government would have to stop these decriminatory practices such as tax exemple, totally dependency on Expats that create financial leakeage, duty fee on imports,etc........ .

WE must remind lumeria a.d otherd, ehat BEACHES IN SEYCHELLES ARE PUBLIC.........the reasons that Beaches are public in Seychelois id based on a simple and logic fact f,namely, that Beaches are moveable land, thus it can not be sometjing an individual can pocess, and secondly,it is A constitutional decision......we mudt stop these goreigners from acting above our laws and disrespecting seychellois in their jomrland,,,,,Slavery, apartheid has long br abolished as well as buorgoisie........we can not afford to let ,often racist foreigners transport their wickedness to our shores...we must stop them.

Why has not FTC intervene in this matter to give this young man back his beach chairs and get Lemuria to pay up.

Well, yes beaches should be private and open to the public. But not all are... Just try to walk our beautiful Baie Lazare beach. Once you are close to the massive villa of the well know Arab, who stole the land from Mark Davison and his family, the private (mostly Asian) security guards are stopping you and telling you that "this beach is private" and "you can't walk here."

Lemuria has been a disgrace establishment in allowing small operators like. Mike, boat charters, excursions, tour guides access to earn a living.
They should have their license suspended.

The guy at Lumeria ..I donot know if he is a racist or not but think he can over rule ,act above Seychellois will and Constituion and even dicatates his will on us----Beachers in Seychelles are and will stay PUBLIC for eternity---and those who tries to impede us from going to our assets ..must be reminded of one thing---namely ....recall always what happedend at Galcis fottball pitch when Mancham was trying to dictates his will on Seychellois by forbidding them to get access to their football pitch ----they walked to the pitch by force --and Mancham was limited to disgrace and went hiding ,faering they were comging also for him.....
Donot force Seychelles to turn their violence tongues to voilecne act ---their would be loss of lives and no compromise.

Not only lemuria, but all these over seized five star hotels are destroying not only small local businesses but our economy. These hotel import or purchase all their goods from abraod, recruit and depend on foreign workers and mangement, all money are collected and banked abroad....thus creating a desastrous tourism leakage that strangle small local businesses and help kill our economy.

A new government would have to take firm actions against these hotels that use our land, gifted to them for one rupee, put extra stress on water, electricity, increase wstage but contribute literally nothing to the host country and host communities.
They would have to be FORCED to purchase Maximum of their goods locally,or face high futurs and taacedx on import . Recruit more locals or face higher tax,or even forced them to oay expats the same salary s locals to discourage them from dependrning of cheap expats, which really has to do,not with lack of local skills, but a stragety for them to make maximum rrevenues.
U might say such sanctions would kill zheir businesses?well,we should look not in the prospective and eyes of a five star hotel owner, but the interest of our country and people....that should be acgovernment main objective........these hotels have bruoght little econmic contribution to seychelles.....and if the failedvor find that government taxes on them are high,,,zhey can close up and leave..... for frakly, why such hotels ehrn we get nothing out of them.........why by a cow when it csnnot produce any milk.
Some of zhese hotels,in my opinion, should becadked to sell part of zheir establishmrnz,in order to make space for smaller hotrls etc ...why should there be a massive ,over seize hotel at port launay, for instead,,such a big piece of land,,for a hotel that can never fillcup its room, anytime of the year ,ful occupancy....?well,zhe reason the built over seizechotels,is a stragety aimvat creating finance leakage....zhatcis unoccupied room, therefore tax refuction.....import of cheap foreigne works,,designed to block beaches and impede potential conpetitors to build nearby,ezc......

According to te United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP),,..For every $100 spent by a tourist, only 5% stay in host country. That is,a financial leakagecof 95%.........which begs the question,,what the need of having such big otrld, esprcially in a country where tourism is the heart of the economy?

A new government would have to be tough, against the actual practices by these hotels.......zhe would havecto create BACKWARD LINKAGE,inborder to stop this desastrous practice and status qou..... .some lrmuria, guy, adam hotels atcport launay would have,if necessary forced tocdemolis partcof the hotel,to nake it smallercand sustainable..,,while providing land for other projects....we have space limitatiob, and pl gifted and allow foreigners to built over seized, unnucessary big hotels just that zhey can blocked beaches illegally, block ozhers from space for new projrcts,,,have monopoly of a place,,,,use unnessry amount of drinking water for individual pool,..houses to cater expats,,the latter hrlp destroy seychellois job,put extra stress on wafer, habitat, wstage use,electricity.....extra from these hotels thrmselves.

This must be stopped, just as thr rxtension of existing five star hotels and new construction......they bringvlittle tovour economy...in fact small and meduim seize hotels contribute more tovour economy than alll these five star hotels combined......local establishment are sustaonable not thesecover seized, unless five star hotels.
